Thousand Hills State Park

This campground is not for RVs over 20 feet. Maybe even smaller. The sites are all on a hill, very slanted and unlevel.  It took 5 1/2 inches of blocks on one side to get our trailer mostly level.  We remained connected as we felt that we could roll backwards if unhooked. 

There is absolutely nothing level in this park.  Our site was horrible!  And the review of it on their website indicates it had a very slight slope; so wrong!!!! 5 1/2 inches of blocks to make it sort of level, side to side. 
Unless your trailer is smaller than 20’ forget it.  Narrow roads with drop off of the asphalt.  Never again.  Leaving early!  Also couldn’t find a camp host anywhere. The signage for the park is horrible, no indication of the site numbers for the loop.  Big rigs could not get in, again bigger than 20’ and you’re asking for trouble.  We are 30’ and barely made around our loop which we had great difficulty finding. 

This place was excellent.  Staff were very helpful,  from the park staff to the restaurant on the lake.  Stayed in 41, campground 1. I  recommend staying in campground 1. Sites are paved, and all seemed to be level.  Only drawback is the dump station.  Not level, which makes you wonder if you got all of the tanks dumped. Would stay again. 

Stayed here while visiting family and absolutely loved this park. The roads are asphalt and the pads are spacious and level with a concrete patio area. We have a 42’ Fifth Wheel which the park host. Didn’t think would fit but we had plenty of room to park the truck in front. This has to be the best State Park we have stayed at. The sites are electric only but we filled up with water when we arrived.  Bath house was clean and showers were private and spacious.  The camp host was very helpful and patrolled throughout the day checking sites and picking up trash. 

The only negative was the dump station which is not level and I could not drain either of my front tanks.

We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. 

Nice quiet campground.  Most sites were shaded.  We stayed in Campground 1, site 13.  Paved site.  Sites in next leg of campground are gravel base.  Shower house was very clean!
