Green County Recreation - Spring Lake Park

People put up tents, etc early in the week and leave them until the weekend, blocking us weekday campers from the sites. Roads are poorly laid out and it's difficult to access the potable water faucet and wastewater dump. The lake is nice and the campground is clean but that's all. If you're really counting on staying here then reserve a site, otherwise you may find a campground full of equipment but empty of people.

No excuse to say there’s nothing to do! During the summer you can fish, rent a canoe or paddle boat, swim at a beach with a concession stand. If you like basketball, there’s 3 places to shoot hoops (one little court for the small fries) or play disc golf. Not your thing? How about paved areas to walk or bike and other trails to choose from. To top it off, there’s a wood floor roller rink, open on Friday and Saturday evenings. A sign on the way in says free golf at a nearby course for campers. One side of the park offers lake side camping, the other, woodsy sites. 2 playgrounds, 2 bath houses. I gave 4 stars as the sites are electric only. You have to fill your water on the way to your site.
