Edward Medard Regional Park

Great location, neat, quiet, and clean, and you can't beat the price, $18. Doesn't feel crowded. We hiked 3+ miles, biked 4. Next trip we'll rent kayaks!

Spacious, beautiful live oaks with Spanish moss, beautiful lake and alligators. What more could you ask for?

No reservations, so call ahead and see how many sites are open. One nice thing about this, if you like your spot and want to stay longer you can renew your site every day. Just do it before 10:00 AM. 

We loved that park. The reservoir is great, the camping sites are big. Even if they are not intimate we were confortable. Nice showers, everything was great. $18 for 55+ or $24 with water and electricity is a good price.

We really enjoyed staying at the park, it had canoe rentals and frisbee golf course.  All sites are first come first serve so make sure you call ahead to make sure there's sites available.

The campsites vary in size and are all under a lot of shade as well.  But there isn't a lot of privacy between them. The sites are all located around a bath house with showers.  The bath house cleanliness could have been better but it will not deter me from staying there.

The staff were all extremely accommodating and friendly.  Any body trying to visit the Tampa area with an RV that wants a decent price should stay here.
