Little Wall Lake

There is a shower house, but no sink to wash hands or fill water bottles.  Pit toilets were clean enough.  Reaervation system is wonky, so we took our chances and just rolled in late looking for a primitive tent site - no troubles finding a spot. Beautiful park and playground for kids.

This place is so nice! Their reservation system online is bad, so don't assume they are full!! Lots of pull throughs. I would give them 5 stars if their online presence was better.

$25 FHU.  Decent wifi, beautiful lake.  Has boating and fishing, but bathrooms are old and neglected.  Too bad.  Walls an floors old, not updated or maintained..  it would be a 3 or 3plus if the bathrooms were good.

We came here while driving from Des Moines to la crosse... Saw the good review from the other guy and were sold... Got here and it was even more amazing and relaxing!! Awesome place!!! 

This CG is beautiful and conveniently located between Webster City and Ames. There is a good mix of level, partial and full hookups and there were no unsightly trailers. All utilities and cells work well.

The lake is pretty and popular with the locals. The park rents canoes for $15 / 4 hrs. The hosts do a terrific job of keeping everything clean and manicured and it is worth the drive off of the beaten path.

I pulled in after dark and took pull-through site #1. This was a very convenient option for a late arrival but there is a good reason that these front spots are open. They are right next to the entrance which is void of speed breakers, causing a storm of dust every time someone enters or exits.

The front sites are close to the beach, boat ramp, and picnic area. There is also a nice sized spot of grass next to your entrance. Otherwise, you may be better off moving towards the back to avoid the dust.
