Vermillion Information Center

We stayed here at the beginning of April '22 on our way to Montana. This is a very nice rest area! Lots of flat, paved parking for cars, RVs, and big rigs; we parked our 36-ft 5th-wheel with no trouble. There is a Highway Patrol office across the lot from the rest station. Our two boys had a good time riding their push-bikes around the walking track behind the rest station building (which is a really pretty building!); there are a couple of tables and garbage cans along the route. 

Very quiet spot to rest. Had pull through spots and on-site security. 

Nice rest stop/welcome center. However staff said dump station was removed due to vandalism.

Neat and clean, plenty of room to maneuver our rig and tow. We were there on a HOT night so with the generator and A/C running, we did not notice the trucks nor highway noise.

Only the restrooms were open but it was a good stop after horrible winds and rain. Parked between 2 semis which offered "white noise".

Big and clean bathrooms, drinking water filling station. Nice grounds with walking path. Plenty of parking spaces, no trouble for overnight.

The ladies at the information counter were so welcoming/friendly and full of information of places not to miss and what to see on your travels through SD...Provided us with maps of the area....The park/rest area was beautiful...Restrooms were clean...Picnic Area...Dog Walking Area....Great spot to stop rest refresh take a few pictures before traveling through South Dakota..IMO its a must stop rest area...

Large, clean restrooms. Vending for snacks and drinks, ladies inside were VERY helpful and friendly. Large dog walk area and picnic area. Can’t get better for a rest stop. 

Really easy off and on I-29.  Big rig parking, large clean restrooms.  Snack and beverage vending machines.  Great info from staff about recent flooding, advising us about routes that are closed.  Glad we stopped here!

I don't know if you can over night.

I'm giving it 5 stars just hoping when it opens up it's going to be a awesome place. I hope they keep in mind about their RVers who travel threw. (Overnight stays and Sani dump with water) not to forget maps and information, dog park and BBQs in the picknic area. But we will see

Not worth waiting to use the dump station, as it is closed.  Drive to Vermillion to Walmart for nights sleep.

The dump station is closed. Concrete blocking it. Water faucets removed.
