Sergeant Bluff Rest Area (Southbound)

Never slept at a rest stop before and was pleasantly surprised.   Clean,  pretty landscape.  Lots of noise from highway and generators though. . Slept good and would do it again.   Felt safe as we had several tractor trailers and other rv peeps.  

One mini van and several semi's spent the night too.  Had surprising well maintained grass.  They were watering it when we arrived.

Slept here for 4 hours early morning on 07/08/2024. There were some 10 trucks and 10 other cars. Not that noisy and felt safe.  Overall good.

Great overnight stop  parking is allowed in SD we ran our generator with no issues.   Traffic is something to be cautious about  especially if you park with the island to your left your door opens right into the lane of traffic.   We have a dog so had to be very careful. 

Small rest area with designated RV spots with Dump station.  No smoking outside vehicle.  Says no camping but it looks like it is talking about tent camping.  Clean restrooms.
