Mount Pleasant Walmart Supercenter

We a went inside to ask if was okay to spend the night in our class c RV. They said yes, just make sure you are at the back part of the parking lot. Had a nice quiet night on 12-26-24. Got a bunch of stuff from Walmart and we’re on our way. Thanks Walmart.

There might have been trains but they don't keep me from sleeping. 

Lots of space in a nice flat parking area. A few other overnighters here also...all were quiet.
Very little traffic noise. 
The trains come through nearby, blowing their horns.  (Whis is really the only drawback that we noted. )
Some nearby factory(?) noise.....not an issue.

But, the trains rumble through and blow their horns. If you can't tolerate that, either font stay here or make sure you are comfortable with wearing g earplugs at night. 

Stopped late on a Sunday to crash, noisy but worked.  Good amount of grassy areas to walk dogs.  Stayed on the gas station side. 

We called ahead to make sure we could park and they asked us to just stay to the outside edge. There were a few semis, but it was cool enough that no one was running generators. There is a train, but the horn didn't seem too loud.

Parked on the side by the fuel pumps.  Other then the occasional train (which was no problem), it was nice and quiet on a Friday night.

Great place to replenish rv groceries and supplies, well lit safe parking lot, friendly employees and access to a lot of other businesses.  This is our stopping off place between Florida and Minnesota.

We stopped here on our way from Wisconsin to St. Louis and it worked out well. Very level lot (it’s Iowa lol). Close access to highway. Which does bring some car noise. There is also some train noise. Both of which I enjoy! Called the store first and was directed to their preferred overnight spots. Very easy. Only downside...awoke to a horrible smell...guessing they were fertilizing some nearby fields. Got up and out a bit earlier than we had planned 😂

We have stayed here in 2019 and June 2020 with absolutely no problems.  There are some truckers on one end we parked on the other and have at times seen other campers.  Relatively large, flat parking lot.  Easy on and off the interstate and easy access to the lot without much noise.  We will be back again.

Manager said city ordinance does not allow RV parking. Police will ticket.

Only reason for 4 stars is a little noise from cars driving by and a train once in a while. 

We stayed here on our way back to southern Nevada and found it to be a great stop. Nice and clean walmart with nice people. Small town atmosphere with light traffic and had no problem finding a great spot to park for the night.  I believe we were the only rv parked for the night.  We did hear trains thru the night off and on which were kinda loud with our windows open enjoying the cool night air. I would of given it five stars without train noise. Would stay here again.
