Owl Creek Market & RV Park

Gravel sites were nice enough and utilities were nicely located.  Didn’t use the laundry or shower/bathroom.  The store had a nice variety of items to purchase.   Would stay again.  

Nice looking park from the outside. Showers are filthy  as well as the floors. Absolutely no wi-fi. We had one of the guys from the office come check it, he said, “you have no wi-fi”. And left. The park store is nice and extremely pricey.

Great level concrete site bath house very clean. Store on site is great and workers are so friendly and helpful we had a great time talking with them. Pool on site we didn’t use it but very nice and clean there are both concrete and gravel sites with back in and pull thru. 

Very nice park with easy on and off  I-70.  Close enough to interstate to be convenient, yet far enough away that highway noise is negligible. Very clean. Nice pool. 
Our site (32) was very unlevel.  Auto leveler on our 39 ft Class A DP kept giving an excess slope warning.  Had to use all my leveling blocks on one side of the coach and still had to manually level as the auto level still was showing excess slope.  Have stayed here before and might request a more level site next time

Nice park.  They have nice pull through sites, a couple spots with shade trees.  The bathhouse was clean,  and the kids really enjoyed the pool.

Sites were close together but it had a nice pool and Country store. Don't get the ghost cheese if you want to survive.

Great little park. Easy off/on highway. Very nice bathroom/ showers. Cute little pool. A really fantastic little market with meats, cheeses and gifts. Made a great little charcuterie board with out purchases. Will stay again. 

Great place for a night stay! Easy check in, everyone was so helpful! Showers were clean, my family had a great time in the pool for a relaxing evening! Definitely would stay again. 

We stayed here for two nights due to bad weather, the park is clean and sites are nice! The bathrooms were new and clean as well. Cute little store front with Amish goods and little trinkets. Would stop here again! 

Best place we’ve stayed during this trip heading west. Bathrooms and showers were spotless and big. Market was a wonderful addition to the RV Park. Pull through sites were level and east to get in and out of. 

We were assigned a very long pull thru that was actually 2 back to back sites.  Ours was a concrete pad which had seen better days.  We were given the option of using the hook-ups for either site 41 or 47.  47’s electrical hookup was way too close to the ground to allow for the use of our surge protector.  41 was just barely adequate.  I hadn’t planned to unhook, but our pull thru wasn’t level enough to confidently bring out slides without using legos under our fifth wheel’s tires, so unhook we did.  We enjoyed spending money in the store.  We had absolutely fantastic internet but we were very close to the office.

We stayed for a night while traveling through.  It has new bathrooms and a new pool.  Both so clean & nice!  There’s even a game room-we didn’t go in there but I think there’s a pool table & foosball.  There’s a new playground & laundry room.  We had a flat concrete site.   Sites are super close together but very well maintained, with a little grassy area with a picnic table & fire ring.  
It seems family owned & run.  They were all so nice & helpful.  Their little store had lots of yummy local goodies, ice cream, wine & cheeses.  I definitely recommend!

New owners have finished renovations, and it is beautiful! Cleanest restrooms, showers (with great water pressure), easy access level sites, dog friendly with grass beside each spot, and a brand new pool! By far the nicest RV park we stayed at during our cross country trip. 

We stopped here in route to Colorado. Campground is right on I-70, but we did not notice the road noise at all and we were in the middle of the campground. I am sure it is more noticeable on the outer sites, but we were fine. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. On-site market was very cute, with a large selection of cheeses and wines from the Amish country, along with ice cream, snacks and clothing. Only issue was some of the cheeses and meats were past their expiration date. We grabbed snacks and some water. The campground is under renovation and expansion. The showers, laundry and pool were all relatively new. Nice and clean, although we did not use them. They even had a large storm shelter for people to evacuate to in case of severe weather. The sites are a combination of paved and gravel. We stayed in a pull-thru, paved site with full hook-ups. We had a patch of grass, a picnic table and a tree to provide a bit of shade. There is a small pond in the back of the property where they were doing a lot of work.  Not sure I would make this a destination, but it is nice for one or two nights!

Lot of work being done at park. Nice showers and pool. Added more camping spots and some have concrete . Store is real nice and got to talk with owner. Had drive thru parking spot, easy in and easy out. Will definitely stay here again

Owl Creek is in a great location for those passing through getting on and off the highway. Late check in is made easy, store is well stocked with lots of fun snacks as well as the basics, pool, playground, daily trash pick up, and small dog run. Multiple options-pull through, back-ins, gravel or concrete. Feels very safe. Thank you for a great stay! 

Stayed one nite passing thru the area. Sites are small & close together. They were doing a lot of construction enlarging the campground. Quite a bit of interstate noise. Store was nice with wine & cheese for sale. They said they are going to add wine tasting. It was an acceptable campground, not great but OK for a one night stay. 

We stayed here overnight on our way to SD. The workers here are friendly and helpful. Great country store. They are in the process of growing and improving. We would stay here again.

We stopped on our way to Colorado last year and it was a nice clean park. So nice we stopped on our way home. They will be seeing more of us!!

We stayed overnight as we traveled towards the warmer weather.  Long concrete pads, pull-thru, hook-ups easily accessible...checked all the boxes for easy in and out.  Amish store was cute and we the cheese was awesome!

You are right off the interstate up a little hill so you hear trucks ALL night.  Do NOT accept the spot by the store.  We didn't use any of their facilities so I don't know if they are clean.  The place is under construction. 

Don’t know what upgrades they are doing but I hope one of them is repaving the interior roads.  Sites could use some landscape updates too.  Didn’t use the bathrooms so no comment on those.  We stayed in one of the long gravel pull thrus which was level.  Road noise was a minimum.  Glad I didn’t select site 24.  It’s right next to the store and facing the interstate.  Overall I feel it will be a great place when they are done.  I would stay again.  Oh be aware there is a $2 booking fee which is a rip imho. 

Construction while they expand, so down to one bathroom for all. It'll be nice when they're done. Cheese shop is good! Flat back-ins and pull-throughs. No leveling needed. Grass, dog run, picnic tables. Very nice. Only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is the construction. Will plan to be back.

Nice overnight - very long cement pad pull thru for big rig towing with full hook ups.  No cable but many (55) over the air channels. Wifi good - but we're just behind office. May not be as good farther away.  General store out front - stop for the Cheese!!!  Dog park adequate - not sure why campgrounds don't make them bigger when there's plenty of room!  Very nice staff. Would definitely stop again. Stayed 2 nights because of weather.

Very nice campground.  Only drawback is road noise from Interstate.

Safe place to spend the night, some road noise if you take a site out front but convenient to pull in and out of, our site was right next to the store so that was a plus.

Stayed here 2 weeks, only 15 mins to the edge of the city. Staff and owner was very friendly. On site Amish store. Large sites.

Bates BBQ is a MUST in Bates City, 5 miles away

Very convenient from interstate for a one night stay over. Quiet, clean park, seems to be well maintained, and friendly host. WiFi worked well, very level pull thru great for us a a older couple.

Very nice park & staff. We only stayed for one overnight due to our trip plans, but would definitely  stay there  again. The store was Great and the different cheeses are wonderful
Easy off/on in our 43' with a car. Nice level paved site, too. Worth the stop!

We liked this place so much on the way out to Colorado that we drove and extra two hours on the way back to make sure we stayed here again.
Great cheese (and candy) store next to campground.
Did not need any kind of leveling blocks for the cement sites either time, clean bathroom and showers, and very dog friendly.

Behind the country store.  Be sure to try the cheese.  Lots were well manicured with flowers blooming.  Nice dog run.  You can't go wrong staying here.  T&T's is a nice little meat and three in town.

We were exhausted and needed a one night stay with our kiddos and this place did the trick. Night check-in made our stay easy. It was a short, well-lit walk to old but clean bathrooms. 

Nice place with good size spots. The store is very nice with Osceola cheese. Not all spots are completely level. But, they do their best. Seems to be lots of homesteaders. But, there were several decent spots available. The dog area is small. But, the park is easy to walk. 

Called at last minute for the night.  Bathrooms clean, easy pull through and quiet even right off interstate.  Would recommend. Oh and paved pads!

After a 600 mile day, we were ready to stop. We called  for reservation about 100 miles up  the road and they had a nice pull through waiting when we got there. Nice well kept campground with a store up front with "160 cheeses". We were tired...didn't partake. The staff were super nice. Easy in and out off the "frontage road" off the Interstate.

We had a long concrete site right behind the store. Will stop again. Owner nice and friendly. Don’t forget to go to county store. 

The five star reviews are perplexing, as the place was nothing to write home about. Adequate for a quick stay, but that’s about it.

Great stay. Friendly, clean, choice of cement or gravel spot. Country store - lots of wonderful cheeses, spices, snacks.  Strong wifi.

Also, the staff were wonderful !

This place was easy to get to , and easy to park our big rig.

Neat, clean,and convenient to I-70.  A little too far out to be a base station for exploring in Kansas City.  

All the necessities except marginal Wi-Fi, but full strength Verizon.  20+ OTA TV channels. I-70 is visible, but road noise is not an issue.  

We were heading east on 70.  Great little spot.  Very clean.  Pretty.  Friendly.  Love the attached store with 160 cheeses.  You have your choice of gravel or concrete slabs.  $4 more for the concrete.  Would stay again.

Stoped for one night. Nice country store and campground.

We needed a place to stop just East of KC, MO.  The reviews of this park led us here.  Called ahead and got helpful, friendly staff - easy reservations over the phone.  Easy in and out - good spot (we chose gravel to save a few $$ - and it was just fine).  Nice, clean, and quiet even being so close to the interstate.  We were exhausted and on a time schedule, so only stopped, ate, slept and got back on the road.  Didn't have time to try the cheese, but would have liked to.  Convenient to town if you need to go eat or grab groceries.  Small little dog run (no trash can there - surprisingly).  We're 62 feet, so definitely fine for big rigs.   

Great park, clean and well maintained. Friendly and competent staff. Shady with some concrete pads (did not need to level). Some freeway noise but easy to ignore the low level hum. Would stay here again. Clearly they pay attention to the details. 

Was working in the area and stayed for a month. Well kept grounds. We did not use the bathrooms or showers, so I can't comment on them. Great store with many different things. The wifi was spotty but I was able to get my work done. The CG was very quiet which we enjoy. We didn't hear any interstate noise. I would stay there again.

What a lovely camping area right off interstate.   Easy to get in and out of, level sites, nicely landscaped and very friendly staff.   The cheese at the ONE GOOD TASTE store located in conjunction with the RV park was awesome!   Highly recommend this RV park!

Highly recommend for staying a nite or longer. Have stayed at the other couple of sites on the east side of KC and this is the best even though about 10 miles further from KC. Try it and you will find it is worth the drive. 

Convientily off the main highway. Nice & clean facility that offered cement pads as well as gravel; lots of trees! Hostess was very friendly & helpful. Would stay there again if we were ever passing thru this area!!
