Wakonda State Park

Shower Buildings definitely need a big improvement!! Would have given 5 stars but was very disappointed when walking into the building and taking a shower.

We had a double site with lake access. Peaceful fairly quiet. Will go back when we can stay longer. We do a lot of state parks, MN - TX and while it is in the top 5, I thought it a little pricey, compared to other state parks.

Park exceeds our expectations. Great roads, views and long level FHU sites at a great low cost!

I love this state park it’s perfect for a family who like water and outdoors. The workers are nice and it is all family friendly.

Just off the Highway yet nicely secluded. Boulder Lake sites are very level and some are far apart plus electric only. Reserve on line but beware of the $8.50 fee.

 Great place with very level and huge sites with full hookups at a reasonable cost. Although the sites are rock there is a concrete pad with a table on it.

The full hookup sites are in the Wakonda Lake Campground.  The others in the Boulder Lake Campground are all electric only as far as we could tell.  Really nice swim beach that is currently closed. We had site 115 with full hookups and a concrete pad. Very nice! I would advise making reservations if you want full hookups.  We got lucky and got one that wasn't reserved. Of course we are past Labor Day and during the week. 

$23 is a fair rate for this level facility!

Lot of place, not expenssive, clean. Cool lake but care mousquito. 

For the price, this Missouri State Park located just off of Avenue of the Saints is a Gem!  Level pull through campsites, friendly staff,  a few too many geese, with toilet and shower facilities that are older but serviceable (but not heated).  We paid $23 which we thought was a bargain!  Lots of walking trails, several lakes. The area is an old sand and rock mining site used to make the area roads, and there is a marker quite high on a tree showing high water in 2009...so I am guessing that it may be prone to flooding. That being said, it was high and dry this day and we expect to stay there anytime we are passing through the area. 

Awesome state park! See more improvements every year. Full hook ups are limited and not shaded, but huge concrete pads.
