Beymer Water Recreation Park

Very quiet location, not highly maintained but better than anything else close by. Only 30 amp service. We were the only camper there of 5 sights.

Pretty easy to find. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were the only ones here. There was another 5th Wheel that came in on Monday.  We stayed a couple of days to rest before moving on to Arizona. $10 for water and power. As others have mentioned, this location is in the middle of farming area and there are biting flies but not a bother with bug repellent on. Spaces are large and on grass but pretty level. There is a bldg with showers, but we didn't check them out. Can't beat this location for t he price. We are grateful it was here. Nice and quiet. 

Went there on our way to Colorado to fill our tank and get some electricity. Very nice spot with grill stations and playground - our little one loved the carousel :) don't know for the night cause we were just half day there but I bet it's quiet - just farm land sorrounding. Great place for the price ($10 p. Night) 

Wow!! We were really surprised how quiet and peaceful this place was. We thought it might be full because we came in about 7:30pm but it's a Wednesday night so was empty. 
Only 2 RV’s here out of 8 spots. Right next to a soybean farm. It's not fancy but electric box and water were up to date. Have cash for the $10 drop box.

Just $10, pay at the station. Includes electric and water, but only about 8 sites, 1st come 1st served. Dry camping also available. They claim to have fishing as well, can't speak to that, but there is a pond nearby.

We stayed here on 7/19/22 as an overnight stop on our way through from Durango to home in Missouri.  I found this park on RV Parky and couldn't believe it was an electric and water site for $10. It's about 3 miles south of town and it's a great little park!  When I called to reserve a spot, I reached the city hall, it's ran by the county clerk's office so don't be surprised when they answer the phone. It has picnic tables with pavilions over them and the water and electric worked great! It's a first come first serve set-up for the 8 hook-ups there and we were on one end of them and only one other camper there. It's an honor system pay box, very quiet and an excellent overnight spot! A big shout out to the town for a place to land for a night or two. They take care of it and you and are very nice. The bathroom / shower house is simple but it's available to you. The toilet and sink work but the showers were out of order. That's not a big deal for us because we have a fifth wheel camper with a shower and the water pressure was great. I'd recommend this campground to anyone needing a place to stop for a night or two as you're traveling across country 😏.

We stayed here previously in June 2021. Still very nice. Very quiet. Utilities work. No dump station. Park less than 1/3 full. No gas or groceries adjacent to park. Water and electric at each site. Water is shared with next site but that is no problem as they provide 2 hook up points. We camped at Beymer Water Rec. Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here before and if we're on Highway 50 traveling east or west, we try to stay here....just 2.5 miles South of Lakin...you simply can't beat the price of $10...the sites are well kept, short buffalo grass covers all 8 sites....electrical boxes and single water spigot are between sites 1 & 2, 3 & 4, etc....there's a lean-to shelter between the paired sites, with 2 picnic tables under each lean-to....30 amp and 20 amp outlets only....the park overall condition and cost, will keep us stopping here in future travels thru the area....

Offering an alternative to camping overnight next to a truck stop and interstate, this little gem is worth the short drive off of 50 Highway. 

South of Lakin, watch for the street numbers and the tent sign. It’s a little hard to know where to go once you pull off the road. The main path circles around the park; rv camping is along a fence on the west just past what I think might be a shower house.  

Playground is just right for an overnight stay. Picnic tables and shelters are nice. Area is flat; grass is short and well-maintained.  

This is one of my favorite campgrounds ever! We had the whole place to ourselves, although a few vehicles drove by (presumably from another area in the park). 

We will definitely stop off here again! 

Very quiet, nice overnight stop. There is only a small sign on Hwy 25 with a tent logo. The Beymer name is on a sign a bit after you turn, so watch carefully. We have a 28-ft trailer & 22-ft truck and fit easily. Flat grassy area, 8 sites are set up 2 side-by-side with large space between each pair. Covered picnic tables, water & elec (30‐amp only), no dump station.  

Overnight it was peaceful and very nice no one but us in the area. We totally enjoyed our stay 

Grassy spots are flat with a picnic table, grill and shelter.  Some trees so there is some shade.  Has 20 and 30 amp power and water at each site.

Shower was good but toilet stalls have no doors.  Plenty of flies on our stay.  Only $10.

It's about 3 miles south of Lakin, KS.  It's flat, mostly grassy sites with electricity and water.  There are signs about the types of fish here, and it's called "water recreation" park, but don't think you'll pull up to a lake side resort.  This land was donated by the Beymers and is now maintained by the county.  It's self pay, $10.00 per night.  There is no one here but us on a Monday night in the fall. We decided to give it a try because the reviews for RV parks in Garden City and Dodge City are just mediocre. I'm glad we did.  The price is right!  It was a nice stop after a long day. We stayed in a 43ft 5th wheel and there's plenty of room to maneuver. 

Park was very nice except for flies.  Price is now $10 per night and there is only 20 and 30 amp electric which is still good for $10. It is a county park and I thank them for offering  the 8 rv sites.
