AB Camping & RV Park

Working our way back home. Booked 1 night and once we got there, we booked another. Great BBQ and pie restaurant on site.  Clean restrooms and showers.  Flat sites.  Great hosts.  Would stay again.

Great place!  Clean ,quiet,well run & we felt very safe here in the middle of town! And in the season they have a great BBQ restaurant on site!  Great food and great price! 

Check in was uneventful, staff very nice. Dog park is nothing but a fenced in small area, but nice to have a place to go. Couldn’t get Wi-Fi to work

Stayed at the KOA ( since bought out) last time.  They are 100.+ now so we decided on this campground.  The check in went well.  Site long enough, on gravel and grass.  Side to side is VERY tight. Water hookup inside of a pipe.  Sewer, does not have threaded connection and is not a standard pipe size so you need a ring to seal it and a weight to hold it in.  Laundromat nice.  Many dumpsters.  Dog parks close by. Fairly easy in and out.

This was our fourth time stopping here.  Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of shade tress. They made their own BBQ and I always get extra to go. Bathrooms could use some updating but they are clean. 

Spaces and driveways were narrow and one truck blocked one of the driveways. Staff very rude. Would not stay again. 

Great spaces,  great bbq, great pie! Bathrooms are spotless.  People are awesome! Highly recommend this spot!

We stayed here in a 40’ MH. Tight spaces and WAY overpriced at $56/nt. Would not recommend. 
A man came in last night as we were grilling ( in front of our rig as there was simply NO place between spaces.) 
Very nice guy who delivers parts for wind farms. He was shocked about his cost for a 30 day stay to be $900!
There is an Rjourney  out by Camping World which appeared more user friendly.

Nothing fancy, great for an overnight and if you’re here between 4-8pm you can check out the Best BBQ. Food is delicious! 

Customer service was friendly and welcoming.  Bummed we missed the bbq (closed for the season) but we really just needed a place to camp for the night, refresh our motorhome and do laundry.  Long term living is to the front and short term and tent camping to the back.  This was great because it was quiet.  Not sure what size previous reviewers were driving because we’re 30’ and it was easy peasy to get through.  There were also 2 40’ towing parked back here with us..  Area is open and spacious.  Camp sites are close but each one has a lawn and picnic table.  Laundry was not crazy expensive.  If you value the shower you will be sorely disappointed.  The water pressure is great but there is no hot water and the bathrooms were not at all clean.  I looked for cleaning supplies to clean my stall before I used it but there were none around:-(. We watched a movie over wifi and it buffered a bit but not so disruptive that the movie was ruined. Overall we like it here.  

It was easy to get a reservation, and inexpensive, too. Narrow roads through the park, but we found the site easily. Hookups were good, Wi-Fi was garbage. Showers were serviceable, bathrooms were clean.

Very tight and small streets. Small spaces with very little space between neighbors. Site was level. Picnic table right on top of neighbor’s sewer. No amenities. No cable, poor Wi-Fi. NOT BIG RIG friendly! Not worth the price. 

Very helpful and friendly staff, clean surroundings, clean bathrooms and laundry. Didn't have to use leveling. Nice size pull thru and friendly neighbors. Will always stay if in area. Overnight stay.

Wi-Fi not usable keeps dropping and needs total upgrade. Very narrow roads for large rigs. Many trees if you have a roof mounted satellite antenna. Pads close together. Neighbor’s door is less than 10 feet.

Low end campground. Too pricey for what you get. Tight spaces. Restaurant was closed. 

Where to start. Warning!! If traveling through Cheyenne don’t stop at AB Campground!! It’s a real sh!t hole!! The owner loves to cuss out women and call them liars. I asked if we could wash the bus since we saw at least 5 others doing it. He called me a liar and said in 17 years he’s only had one person wash a trailer here. I asked him why in the world would I lie about something so stupid. He just looked at me. So I asked if he knew of any mobile bus washers. He said yeah he would bring me his card. He didn’t so we drove the golf cart up there and I asked if he had the card. He held up his hand and did the talking motion with his hands. And said this is all I see! So we drove off. I wanted him to ask my husband how many people were washing their rigs and see if he would call my husband a liar but he took off. He has about a 10 year old son that does laps around the “campground” speeding and kicking up dust about every 10 minutes. This is a gravel parking lot. The sites are so close we couldn’t put our awning out. There are no threads for the sewage hook up. So you have to set a log or something on it. There are no fires allowed. We had to stay here for a week as our daughter lives in Cheyenne and we had a lot of stuff sent to her house. I know this is a pit stop for people to stay overnight and move on, now. We were absolutely miserable here! Heading to a much nicer campground where we can spread out and decompress from this nightmare. But I will say the water pressure would knock the grease off of you!!  Make sure if you have to stay here it’s for one night only!! I would rather stay on the main drag in Detroit than there again! No offense to anyone from Detroit!!

This is a Good Sam’s Park so it is full most of the time. The BBQ was excellent and they would deliver if we wanted. They also give a AAA discount. 
We were looking for a spot for 3 days to do laundry and just hang out... the laundry and bathrooms were great. Now to the hanging out part.. spaces are so close we didn’t put out the awning. Had enough room for the slide but the picnic table and such were in front of the RV.. We would stay again if we are in the area.

Average overnight stop. Staff were not very friendly but they were busy. Park was pretty full and very tight close spacing. Would stay again if needed.

The RV Park itself isn't fancy.  Grass and gravel sites that are fairly close together.  Some have concrete strips for your tires which are level.  All sites have water and 30/50 amp connections but some lack sewer.  We've stayed here twice now and the first time we were in a spot that was crowded by a tree.  Hard to maneuver such that we could bring our living room slide out.  The second time we had no tree (but still plenty of shade from other trees) and it was easier.  The grounds are well kept other than some trees maybe needing a trim.  No weeds and minimal dirt patches.  Enough gravel to keep it from turning soupy in the rain. Staff is friendly and helpful.  Easy access to I-25 but not near it, so noise is a non-issue.

I'm not sure what your opinion is on RV park restaurants, but this one is leeeegit and could easily stand on its own.  Great BBQ.  We've had all their meats at this point, and they're all excellent.  Even the chicken is perfectly cooked: moist without being mushy, nicely seasoned without being too salty.  Their homemade pies are also very nice.  The side dishes are average, but they make for a nice meal after a long day on the road.  

We got very strong Verizon signal here and were able to pull 120 Mbits down and 36 Mbit up.  

I'm giving this 5 stars even though this isn't a top-shelf property because in my opinion the restaurant is such a positive it outweighs any small negatives like no pet waste bags provided, sorta tight spots (we've stayed in parks that were worse) dated bathhouse (which we never use at any park anyway) etc.  We've had two great experiences here and those negatives just don't really matter that much.

Dead trees, just waiting to fall on someone’s rv. No cable. Sketchy electric, and SORRY was the response I got when I asked to move. Tiny sites. You’re crammed in there, like sardines. Very very rude small man owner. Flies covering tables and kitchen in restaurant. Overflowing garbage. Bottom line is these people need OUT of the hospitality business, as they truly don’t give a shit. One would think with a year off from the summer travelers they could have cleaned this place up even just a bit. Or upgraded, but they just leave it run down. WiFi hardly exists…. And the price went up significantly from previous years. 

Good overnighter, right off the freeway, can hear traffic but not bad. Close to the city, so at night you can hear sirens, again not bad. Didn't keep us up from sleeping. Space are tight unless you get an end of row space. They have excellent bbq restaurant on the campgrounds.

We were passing thru just before 8pm and paid $42 for a space with electric only . Spot was very tight. Our rv is 29 ft . Lady in the office was not very professional and had a bad attitude. My 8 year old says dad she was mean to you. After pre paying for the space we realize that we would not be able to extend the side out and still fit on the narrow strips of concrete. I returned to the office to ask for our money back. She had already said she had no other spaces even though there were a couple empty ones. Older man was very nice and offered to help me to another space . I could 
hear her snap from the other room saying that’s all we have. They offered to refund my money minus 10 percent fee. My opinion is don’t waste your time . We have met so many other people that are polite and friendly. Beware of this lady she’s a snapping turtle 

Level, easy but small pull-through gravel sites. Nice staff and owner. Convenient to I-25 and I-80 but still relatively quiet at night. On-site BBQ restaurant is nice after a long day of driving. 

They had something for everyone! Lots of spaces, dog run, playground, nice shower/bathroom, plenty of washers and dryers for laundry, and a BBQ restaurant! 

We only stayed one night.  Sites are tight with not much grass in between.  Beware of the water pressure.  It is very high and will need a regulator.  We had water everywhere including inside our cabinets.  When we told them, they said it was probably something the city did - yeah right!  Most sites had water puddles so it wasn't just us.
The restaurant beside the office has good food and is not pricey.  It is smaller portions though and they run out early.

Great park level spaces friendly hosts great facility but the best of the best is they do BBQ on site place an order and they deliver just what you need after a day on the road well maybe not everything you need but it helps a lot. 

Very nice, clean and quiet. Nice dog park with lots of space to walk the babies!  The Barbecue is wonderful. Great stop for us. 

Level gravel sites with trees large enough to provide shade.  Website doesn’t allow for online reservation.  When you call you can’t leave a message and my emails weren’t answered.  Don’t let that deter you as the park is the best reviewed in the Cheyenne area.  The on-site BBQ restaurant is worth the stay!  Skip the nachos but don’t miss the ribs.

After a very long day on the road, we were pleased to find such a nice RV park. It was 3-4 miles from the freeway, so zero road noise.  There are plenty of trees and level sites. We were only there for 1 night, so we did not use the restrooms, showers or laundry. Park had WiFi, cable and an EXCELLENT little BBQ restaurant on site! We will stay here again.

This is our 2nd time to stay here. Very good overnight stop. Folks are very friendly and accommodating.  We enjoyed the BBQ. 

We stayed one night on our way through Wyoming. The staff was nice and the ribs from the restaurant were pretty good. No frills here though. Basically a parking lot with a lot of working campers around.

Quiet area except it was July 4th and Wyoming allows bigger firecrackers!

We are FT, no pool but would definitely go back. 

Called ahead a couple of hours before arrival to get space. Family/owners are nice and helpful. Space was gravel and accommodated our 35ft TT and truck just fine. Quiet park. The BBQ on site was a welcomed dinner, after our very long drive to Cheyenne. Did not use laundry or restrooms. 

Sites were tight with picnic table next to RV. Stayed two nights and enjoyed a great BBQ dinner onsite. Propane onsite and owners friendly and helpful. Enjoyed visiting Cheyenne. 

Great place to stay - very clean - wonderful BBQ

Nothing fancy but totally enjoyed the park. Really good BBQ restaurant so you don’t have to cook when you arrive.It was quiet and level. Tv reception and good wifi. 

Came in after they were closed. They had electric only open. Very accommodating. Clean bathrooms. I can’t give it 5 stars because we only slept then left early. 

It was on our route south, which made it convenient.  Pull thru full hookup with gravel driveway.  Spaces kinda close to one another, but easy to get in and out of.  Bathroom and laundry facility seemed clean.  Didn't try the little restaurant on site, but menu looked inviting.  We'd stay here again, because of the convenience of being close to our route.   Park has WIFI and cable tv.  Lots of interesting things to see and do in the area, convenient to Cheyenne attractions.  Stayed 4 nights.

We stayed one night on our way home. We travel in a 40’MH, towing. Our site was a pull thru with trees and adequate shade. We were asked if we had satellite so they could park us in a spot where the dish could get coverage. The site was long, a little narrow but plenty of room to pull out in the AM. I sampled the ribs, very good, not loaded down with sauce to make up for the flavor.
Power was 50 amp and good, water pressure good and good WiFi. Sites are gravel and ours was level.

Very friendly family that owns this. Rates are a bit unclear. Supposedly the rate they charge is w a 20% tax and then you get 10% off for good Sam. Math did not come out quite right in this teacher's head. Park is big. Spots are tight. Nothing to do. No pool. Not close enough to walk anywhere. Satellite spots available. Great Wi-Fi. We didn't try the restaurant but it smelled fantastic! 

The staff was friendly.  The bbq cafe was great.  
The park was nice.. stayed one night and would stay again when traveling through. 

Drive thrus are about six feet apartment and not long enough for truck and 22 foot camper.   $48 bucks a night is pretty steep for what you get.  Class A sites are fines if you can get one

Was going to stay at Curt Gowdy SP but scared away by reviews. It ends up that it would have been fine. This park has a great BBQ restaurant and lovely people but old bathrooms and very tight spaces. Great shady site. 

Paid $40 for spot with no sewer or water.  Grass spot with two strips of concrete barely wide enough for tires.  Specified 38 foot 5th wheel with truck but spot wasn’t long enough so we just stayed hooked up and pulled out early in the morning.  Fine for a quick overnight but not recommended for any extended stay.  

This was a nice campground for overnight or a few days.  Everyone was friendly and helpful. Sites are close but park maintains very good quiet hours. The restaurant on site has great BBQ and homemade pies.

Not a bad place, but inability to hook up to WiFi and narrow, tight lots don’t make it a gem. Thought the office staff was very friendly, doggie parks were awesome and the proximity to downtown was great. 

Great place to camp for a night or two and the best part is their bbq. Restrooms are very clean and owners are wonderful! If you are in the area and looking for a great place to camp look no more. Stop here,eat bar b q, and enjoy a peaceful night!

This is one of the most friendly parks we've been to. The park is clean the BBQ is awsawes but the best part is the personal service that Jane and Marc give you. The location is the best for taking in frontier days

We stayed here for a night and the price was great the service was excellent and friendly.

Best thing was the barbecue served at campground. Everything else was ok. We ended up with just electric site but ok. Make sure you check about water if you need it. Tight sites but ok. Showers better then ok. Good overnight.

Cable at our site grainy but neighbors ok. Direct TV won't work because of trees in some sites. Pet areas nice but choked with weeds. This is a problem with small dogs since the sign says they'll evict me if I don't pick up. Really? They cut the weeds so I can find it!

Although staff are nice and restrooms and laundry well maintained, our site was terrible. Apparently previous occupants had an accident attaching to sewer and spilled waste all next to the site. Old toilet tissue and who knows what else on the ground. Looks like they tried to throw wood shavings on it but still obvious. Site close to road and site next door. No picnic table, no grass and a shared utility area. We do not recommend. Would not stay here again.

Great BBQ and a camping spot also. Agree with others friendly staff. Restroom and showers are clean. Don't count on wifi as I spend a lot of time trying to get it on my phone only to have it drop off. 

We enjoyed out stay here.  The bathrooms were clean and the shower water pressure was good.  BBQ was a great dinner.  Our spot was flat and we had plenty of room.

The park is well laid out. The folks who run it are super friendly. The bath house is clean. A very quiet park.
Oh and the BBQ is awesome... 
If we ever pass through the area again we will definetly try to make this our destination.

Stayed 2 nites at this older, but very nice RV park, about 2.5 miles south of Downtown.  Marc and Jane are the best and try thier best to accommodate most every request.  There's room for big sized rigs, and there's lots of trees, so let them know when you reserve that you have satellite on your roof.  Park caters to some full timers, working crews and good amount of overnighters.  No trashy rigs, and the park is well maintained.  CATV is a bit iffy on some channels.  Clean showers/laundry.  The greatest wi-fi signal I've had at any park!  The special secret is AB BBQ, made on site, and all home cooking.  Jane's pies are great and the ribs fall off the bone.  Locals come to get their BBQ, so you know it's good!  Will definitely be back next time in Cheyenne.  

Planned to stay with them tonight ( 4/11/16);  I call enroute and the rate was $40.00 for FHU.  I decided to drive on the Laramie and stated at the KOA for $29.00.

Closed, and it looked like there were plenty of sites open+ some people living there.

this is city parking lot camping. everyone is lined up like sardines on barren little spots.  we were so close that the rvs next to us that our carbon monoxide detector went off during the night.  the website advertises exceptionally clean restrooms....they were some of the worst we have seen in 8 weeks of travel.  Plus, kids were playing in them.  the entire staff of the place seemed more interested in running their BBQ restaurant than upkeep on the campground.  there were no firepits.  dogs and cages and dog runs everywhere.  dump station was not maintained correctly.

These folks genuinely care that everything is right. We were promised electricity only, because the park was full. They put us next to a workers rig where we shared water and electricity for five days. Stay was great and meals were outstanding in their restaurant.

Park was easy to find and we were taken directly to our site. Quick check-in.

It was an easy drive into Cheyenne for supplies and restaurants.

Sites were small but level with room to park our tow vehicle.

Narrow lots with some shade but the ever present smell of sewer....  On the up side full serve including propane. They have a small resturant on site and the internet which is free worked for us. $40 for full hookup.  Bathrooms were clean with decent number of showers.

We liked some features of this park. It was easy to drive through and use the pull through. It had flat sites that minimized leveling. The dog parks were well done and ours loved them. The bathrooms were not very clean at all. They had no toilet paper in ANY stall (for both men and women in BOTH restrooms) nor any paper towels to wash your hands. If that was resolved we would give 4 stars.

Restaurant a five star for excellent food.  RV Park a four, as a bit pricey, but enjoyed our stay in Cheyenne.

Pricy and WiFi did not work at all. Restaurant was a welcome bonus after a long day on the road. Delicious, too. 

Price $40 night somewhat high for the environment, but most people seem to just stay for the night. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Spaces a little close, wifi did not work at our location. Would come back again :-)

We made our reservation the same day, on the road, and they were able to accommodate our large rig with an awesome pull through space with full hook ups and 50 amp service. They had nice enclosures for the dog to run and go potty, good laundry facilities,  clean bathrooms/showers, and a delicious bbq restaurant! The people were very friendly and helpful, and the park is well kept with cute little buildings and flowers.  We will definitely stay here again!  We couldn't get wifi to work on our devices, but we had cell service,  so we used that. 

We made reservations while on the road. Arrived at 9 pm to no reservation or lot number.  Office was closed, & no one answered the phones.  Not many aamenities for the price.  Staff was very sweet to my husbad upon check out though.
