Lake Ahquabi State Park

This is a newly refurbished state park and has good bones but needs a little work to make it great. The restrooms and showers are clean and new. The shower buildings are concrete to be used as a storm shelter. Some of the sites are concrete and some are gravel. The gravel site could use some leveling. There is a nice lake for fishing. Verizon service was 1-2 bars and <1.5Mbps. 

Rebuilding the spillway apparently. May reopen in 2023.

Nice site with lake and trails easily accessible. 

Terrible signage- NOT big rig friendly! Sites with little gravel & not level. Beautiful lakeside setting but very narrow blacktops. Can’t really meet another truck safely. Very disappointing when just looking for a nature view.
