Kanoplis Lake COE - Venango Campground

My wife and I stayed at this park for 1 night.  We had electric and water.  The sites had plenty of room for small to large RVs.  I would recommend this park as a good value.

We stayed at back-in Site B12...right across from the lake and had a nice view.  Site was gravel. Had electric hook-up, but the water had been shut off...would have been nice if someone had notified us about that. Site was plenty long enough for our 35 ft TT and crew cab pickup without unhooking. Site was very unlevel front to back, not bad side to side. Only 3 other campers in the B Loop...so it was nice and quiet. .

We stayed on a Sunday night before the official open for the season. What a lovely park. Drove around at dusk and were treated to the sight of many deer. No one else here. Our choice of sites with electric. Bathrooms not open yet but water and dump available. I love camping in April.

We were very impressed with this park.  Large level campsites.  Gorgeous view of lake.  Excellent hiking.  Quiet and clean.   New shower houses. Verizon signal good.  Plan ahead for supplies.  Ellsworth is close and has nice grocery store.  Lindsborg also is close and a lovely town to visit.  Coronado Heights offers scenic views and a historical landmark.  Many OTA TV channels.   This is a lovely park in the Smoky Hills of Kansas.  

Older camp grounds with a wide variety of hookup types. My only complaint is that you have to be extremely careful on the camp ground roads. Don't assume that you will clear those big low hanging tree branches just because you are on a main road in a campground, you won't.....
