York KAMPground

This was our second visit to this CG.  We liked the easy access to highways and the restaurant options. Would definitely stay again.  We were given a discount for being a returning guest. 

This is right off I-80. As with most RV Parks, you seem to always have Highway noise or trains close by. We chose to arrive without making reservations because their website indicated a lot of open spaces. All sites are pull through.  We stayed in a w/e site although theater are also full hookups. But there is access to a dump onsite to use free as well.  It’s close, probably within walking distance for most folks (.2 miles at most) to fast food, restaurants, etc. I understand that Walmart is just down the road. WiFi available.  We would definitely stay here again. Good Sam  discount offered. 

Basic RV park. Clean. Right next to the interstate so you will hear the noise. 

Small RV park.  Easy in and out.  Close to the freeway, so it's a little noisy, but not horrible.  Level gravel pads and road.  Host was very nice.  Several long term campers.  Will stay again

Flat gravel lot. Easy in/out. If u have PA only $20 w/o sewer, $22.50 with. Double that if no PA. Bathrooms clean. 

Nice place for one night, great refuge

Good stop for overnight along Interstate 80. EZ in and out. Nothing fancy.

Unexpected storms were obviously brewing and it was apparent I needed to get off the road so I'd be safer.  I'd intended to make Omaha by end of the day, and that just wasn't going to happen.  I checked in with RV Parky and found York KAMPground.  I called to see if there would be room and the message said there was always room, so just come on in, and I did.  I'm handicapped and dealing with mobility issues right now.  The lady that greeted me at the office was so very helpful, even driving over and insisting hooking up my rig.  It started raining moments after I was hooked up and there were several heavy downpours before bedtime, so I was glad that I decided to stop.  Even more so when I discovered my Passport America gave me a nice discount.  If in this area again, I'll make it a point to stop.

North side has lots of full timers and local workers. South side has no sewer, but does had 50 Amp and water. There were no other campers on the south side on 4th of July weekend - everywhere else within an hour was fully booked. Safe to say, you can find a site here. They say the sites are 70', but we are 72' and stuck out pretty far in the front and back... but didn't matter really because we had the entire south side to ourselves, 70 sites worth. Not a tree in the place but there is grass between every site. Didn't use the bathrooms. Easy to reserve a site online. We arrived around 8pm, no one at the office. Called the number on the check in sign and got a voicemail saying we have plenty of room, go online and pay. $34. Pretty new park with security cameras and modern electric. Lots of restaurants around and a super walmart. I wouldn't vacation here but super easy overnight. South side was very clean, can't say about the north side, we didn't walk up there. The park is right off the highway and an exit (Jake brakes) so it is noisy, but our coach is well insulated so we didn't hear a thing and slept great! There is a dump station on the way put from the south side if you need it. Adding York to our cross country go-to's. We stayed at Prarie Oasis nearby on another trip, super nice owners and awesome store. Loved it there but they were all booked up. If you want an anonymous stopover go to York. If you want trees, local beef and other foodie goodies and super nice hosts go to Prarie Oasis. Be cautious about the water at both parks due to the heavy farming in the region. 

This is not a bad park except there is dog poop EVERYWHERE.  I always pickup after my dogs but you risk stepping in poo everywhere!  And that is not fun. This is basically a pay box and pick a spot. Good for overnight with long runs so you don’t have to unhook.  Because of the dog poop I probably won’t stay again. But it is priced right 

Stopped by on our way through. Open year round. All spots are pull-thru and support 50/30 amp. Has full hookups and electric/water only (cheaper for only an overnight). Level spots and very convenient location. Only 2 minutes from a Walmart for groceries and a truck stop for fuel (don’t use the pilot on south side of interstate, there is a much cheaper one across from Walmart, good access with my 40’ 5er, and less wait time… 

Downfalls. Small spots, if busy you would be very close to neighbors. And close to interstate so you could hear traffic if that bothers you. 

Pro:  easy on and off I80.  
All pull through sites 
Electric service appears in good condition.  
Cons:  
1.  Note on office (see picture) states to take any available site if prepaid (we were).  After pulling in a site on row D and getting boards out to level, the  Oklahoma welcoming committee  on row E I formed us that site was reserved.   When I stated we had reservations and referred her to the notice on the office.  She proceeded to haughtily inform me “Those are for MY family, sites 2-7 and they are reserved for THEM”.   Such a nice welcome to York. On second look (see picture) her site was definitely permanent with loads of junk, a shop fan  and at least 8  lawn chairs.   The site D5 also had an empty coke bottle, Capri sun bag and a styrofoam cup.   We circled the grounds several times to find a site that was nearer the office.  Would I stay again? ….definitely not. 
2.  Wifi is like many camps…available but not functional.   I either couldn’t get on or there was no internet connection.  (Using personal hot spot. )
3.  It rained earlier and you can see huge lakes in the roads.  Gratefully, the sites themselves are gravel, not level but not muddy or puddled.
4.  Water pressure is about 40lb.  A bit low.  
5.  All the sites we pulled into sloped to the passenger side.  Some needed at least 3” of leveling.

This was a easy on and off of interstate campground.  Would stay again. 

We stayed overnight and was clean and friendly 

We needed overnight stay with full hook ups at a good rate.  This place covered it all for us.  We did not use restrooms.

Stayed for 2 1/2 weeks, in the long term section. Spacing wasn't bad. Was very thankful for that when 2 major wind/rain storms came through (winds up to 50 mph!). Talked to a few of long termers, they were nice. Owners there during the day and host for evenings and night. Borh were very helpful and courteous. Bath/laundry house was very clean and "rustic" (concrete floor...didn't mind). Had issue with wifi went out after 2nd storm, but host came right out and fixed it. Would stay here again.

stayed one night at this campground.  Showers are working but very old school with push button hot water that lasts 60 seconds; and working well.  They take PASSPORT AMERICA discount.  Right next to highway that was not really too noisy.  

This was a perfect place to stay.  Lots of restaurants close by.  Laundry was good.  Nothing fancy, but worked well for a two-day stop going across country.  Would come again. 

Everyone else's reviews were fully accurate.  I would add that the two dump sites for non FHU customers are awkwardly placed and you risk blocking others from leaving while dumping. Overall,  a little expensive for non Passport membership,  but the showers (also awkwardly designed) had HOT water. much appreciated.  I'd describe the place as unattractive but functional. 

No trees, very basic. Worked well for our one night.

We stayed at York for two nights and it was fairly night. The facilities were clean, could be more appealing with some tile flooring rather than concrete and they need an extra large trash dumper. It has been raining and flooding in the area so there may be delays. It is close to many fast food places as well as restaurants and Walmart

It's basically a big parking lot off highway 80.  No frills.  No shade.  Full hook ups and some with water & electric only.  Nice showers and laundry.  No campfires or picnic tables.  Good if you just need a place for a night or two.  Well kept.  Close to Lincoln and surrounded by many, many eateries, mostly fast food.  Perfect for what it is but don't expect luxury.

Clean showers and nice laundry facilities. No shade, level gravel spot. Pull through is large. Good Sam discount. Would stay again.

Arrived late and used online reservation to pay.  The website says something like “discount applied when payment received”. This was true as it said it was going to charge 40 some dollars for us (we had 6 ppl)but only charged $26 +tax. Campground was quiet and relatively empty on weekday. We used 30amp hookup but didn’t fill water. Next morning we went to use bathroom and showers but bathroom had post about calling a certain number for access code. Took us until 8:30 for someone to respond but they did and we went in and used the clean bathrooms. Would suggest they send the bathroom code in the confirmation email. Location is close to Walmart Starbucks and other amenities. 

My GPS tried to take me 18 miles out of the way because this campground is on a brand new short (200 yds) gravel road not on the mapping systems yet.  Google does not acknowledge this road so tries to send me to Walmart instead.  However, I refused to believe google maps that a campground right off a major intersection and exit ramp could not be reached so I used my common sense and found it without getting routed 18 miles out of my way.  The manager was so nice she even offered to drive to the local store to pick up some ice for me.  The spots are level and all fixtures are new.  This is a good deal and I only paid $27 with my Good Sams for my 30 amp hookup by the bathroom.  Very nice place.

Looks relatively new. Have both W/E, dump station or FHU. Opted for FHU as furthest from I-80. Road noise is biggest problem, although with 99 degree heat the AC running all night knocks that out. Grow big grass between sites but no trees for shade, no picnic table. Didn’t use facilities so can’t speak to that but building appears new. No cable, connected to WiFi but couldn’t even load a web page. Price is Passport America price.

Easy to get to of the i80. Good grouping of services. WIFI poor except at the laundry/shower building. Good for a one night stay. Just gravel and not all sites are level but close to i80, fuel, Starbucks, Wendys, McDonald's.......

Gravel access road and interior roads. Pull through site was long enough for 40' coach and tow vehicle.  Easy access from I-80 and US-81. Decent overnight stay. 

This is obviously a new campground but no thought was put into how to make it look like an appealing place to stay.   There were no trees or any type of landscaping... just flat space with campers lined up like sardines.   The sites were gravel and level but very close together.   It was OK for a quick over night stay but I wouldn't spend any time there. 

Spent one night here on way to OK.  Had pull through site that was easy to access.  Fairly level.  Good WiFi.  Checked in after hours by phone and drop box.  Would stay again.

This is a new park - no trees, level sites - someone was there to great us in office. Passport was accepted - if you are in front not as bad highway noise. Nice park would stay again traveling thru. 

Their Passport listing said no discount during August, but I called on a weekday in August and they said they would give me the Passport rate anyway.  Lucky me, as she said they are completely full from tomorrow for the eclipse!

Close/convenient to I-80, but I haven't heard traffic over my A/C.  Also close to a ton of fast food places at I-80 and SR-81 intersection.  Could use better directional signs to get here, but GPS had accurate directions.  

Showers, restrooms, laundry are clean. WiFi is weak and slow.  I've got a W/E site, and there is a dump on site to use on the way out.  I'd come back here again if it's on the route.

Very close to Interstate 80. The sites are all new they have some full hookups and some partial hookups seems like they all have 50 amp. The roads are crushed gravel which are a little bit rough. It's close to the interstate and there's some Interstate noise however that's very tolerable. It's a good place to stay for a one to two night overnight the wifi works well. It's good for transitioning from various town they took us on a whim when no other Campground in the area would take us on a Saturday night. I highly recommend this place we are traveling in a 40 foot RV motorhome with a towcar they are pull through sites

 The gravel does need to settle and it will be much more comfortable with more grass but it was perfect for an overnight stay while traveling. Employees were very friendly.  There is a Walmart just down the street and several restaurants to pick from.

Quite new. Hookups are all first rate. Crushed stone drives and sites, level but loose. When they get full it will be tight, sites are very narrow. Staff very pleasant. Bath and laundry are all brand new and nice if spartan. Will stop again, in a few years it will be very nice and landscaped.
