Wind River RV Park

We have family in Riverton and we wanted to be near by. Upon arrival, the tall grass (weeds) were overgrown. I picked the weeds from under our picnic table to make it feel neater. The ground keepers should mow more frequently. There are not fire pits. Sites are situated back to back or front to front- depending on which site you are assigned.  Lots of in and out 1 night stayers. 
There is NO dog friendly area within the campground. We drove 1 mile down E Park  Ave to “1838 Rendezvous” area to let the dogs run - an interesting historical location. The bathrooms were very clean- with pay showers. Our site one tree- a dead one! The 3 trash cans near the bath house got very full before trash pickup day. The office staff were very friendly. 

We called at 5:15 pm on a Wed In Oct. just 10 min outside of town. After a long day of driving and little sleep the night before we were tired. We asked if he had a spot for us just for the night as we were passing thru. He replied, “only if you can be here by 5:30. We close at 5:30.” We said we had planned to stop for gas but could forgo that until the next day if he could wait on us. He wasn’t accommodating at all so we passed and stayed at the Walmart! We saved $47. + tax and a headache from doing business with a man that didn’t really want our business! 

Great overnight stay. We stayed two nights in a travel trailer. Beautiful laundry got it done soon as we got here! We drove up the Wind River Canyon Scenic Drive beautiful don't miss it.
Also the museum in town is pretty good. The wax museum add-on was a surprise. Well worth the time spent and the five bucks.

Full hook-ups, no frills. A great overnight stay.

Nice spot on our way through to Alaska.  Had pull thru site that were very level. 

Easy on our way stop! Nice pull through. Laundry room was cleaner and bigger than some commercial laundries! Other than that no frills! Pay showers!

Great pass-through stop! Big Plus - Great WiFi ! 

Just left Grand Tetons & Yellowstone where there was No Cell and Next to No WiFi. Paid some bills, caught up on email and steamed some TV. Very clean gravel sites if a bit tight. We have a 31’ Class A with a Toad. 52’ Total and didn’t have to disconnect. Everyone else must have been as tired as we were. Extremely quiet location. 

Tina was amazing! Checked in quickly, answered all my questions and did it with a great smile!

This park has what it states but is very run down, it has seen better days.  If you just use it for an overnight it is ok.  Laundry area is clean and machines worked well, the shower area was not clean and you had to pay for it with quarters.  The bathroom area was clean bright and freshly painted.  The parking area had large pull through areas for bigger rigs but was filled with weeds and very little grass.  The residents let dogs roam off leash but short term visitors had dos on leash or tied out.  The hook ups and picnic tables were on same side for neighboring spots and trees were mostly on perimeter of the lot.

Stayed one night passing thru the area. Campground is accessed thru a residential area, just past the edge of town. Very quiet & clean. Our gravel site was almost perfectly level. Joe, the owner, was very talkative & super friendly. Not many extras at the campground but it’s close to town, shopping, restaurants & a local camping & outdoor supply store. Would stay here again if in the area. 

New owner making things ship shape, a US Navy Capt, retired who lives on-site. Not a lot of trees but new tables and BBQ stands at each site. Totally overhauled bathrooms, showers and commercial machine laundry. (Each well air conditioned).

Very helpful and has lists of potential next RV accommodations if you are continuing to Yellowstone that people don't know about. Since the routine one are usually sold out many months in advance.

Very quiet part of town. Riverton has may restaurants and fast food options.
 Many overnighters at this location. Every site is totally level and a pull-thru. Easy to pull in, turn the key off and your done. Wi-Fi seems to work in all sites. All hookup boxes, incl TV, are in optimum shape. After taxes $44.30.

Coin operated showers but water was hot and refreshing.  They also had a nice full size laundry available.  Park is safe and quiet, only really great as a stop over or overnight in route to GTNP, but staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in this park for 1 night.  It is very clean, level sites, and the laundry/bath house are also very clean.  You have to pay for the shower-.50 for 5 mins.  The laundry is very nice and they have commercial machines.  We stayed in site 25 and had no issues with noise, Internet, etc.  The staff is very friendly.  There is no pool or playground...which we didn’t need.  The camp is very convenient to the town.  We will definitely stay here again.

This place was not as bad as some of the reviews Sounds. It was clean and quiet. Not a lot to offer but it was right off our route. There actually was some grass and we had a nice tree on our site.  Owner/manager was accommodating even though we arrived after hours. 

We called to see if they had a spot open for the evening and they did. The staff was super helpful and even helped us avoid the construction on the main road while getting to them. 

Most spots are gravel and rough WY prairie grass. Decent trees. Not much shade though. Full hook-ups were nice. Decent little place to just stop over for the night. No playground or kids stuff. Per friendly, but not a while lot of places to walk your dog. 

Very clean park with level sites, easy in and out.  Owner and staff very friendly and accommodating.  Sites are close and try as they may grass is scant.  They have planted many flowers to make up for the lack of green grass.

Surprise. Very nice. Clean. Spaces level. Owner very helpful. If you need wifi he will place you where you get best signal. Some dead trees but more live than dead. Very nice clean place. Quiet. Very suspicious of the bad reviews

This place turned out to be really nice despite the reviews. The showers were clean, they are pay showers but I don't mind paying for a nice clean working shower. The spaces are level... Only took us about 10-15 minutes to set up everything with our 5th wheel. The laundry room was awesome! Plenty of washers including two large load washers and plenty of dryers. Large folding tables, change machine, soap and dryer sheet dispensers as well. 

The owners were also nice enough to move us closer to family who were also staying in the park. The only downfall was you shared a grassy area with your neighbors... So pray you get decent neighbors since you face each other... It was kind of odd. 

All gravel, no grass just sickly weeds, trees half dead.  Location okay near town, staff friendly.  Didn't use any facilities. 

No trees as seen in pictures..they are dead! Potholes and dusty gravel roads. Had rained a lot and dog and/or human waste visable. Very nasty.
