Willow Beach Campground (COE)

The host were great! I booked for the wrong day but they still let us stay and helped us figure out how to fix it! Dump station was easy and clean. Shower wouldn’t drain as fast as I would like but we had a beautiful site on the water! All around a great place to stay! Site F-19
 

Campsites are good. Bathrooms are not climate controlled, not clean and quite a distance from most sites. It was okay for a night.

Our site was a challenge to back into (F2) and the concrete pad was so narrow we barely got our steps down onto concrete and not mud.  Lots of mosquitoes due to standing water. The bathrooms were nasty.  Condom box and wrapper on the floor of the shower. Spiders in the bathroom.  Just icky. Since we have a family, we tend to use camp bathrooms when the camper is occupied, but not this one. The park is pretty and quiet, nice playground and walk/bike paths. Hosts were nice.

Unfortunately our stay was right during a storm with wind advisory and flood warnings. Hours before arrival we tried to contact campground host to ascertain flooding danger - no answer, no return call.  We pressed on and arrived at Willow Beach, no host on duty or available so we found our site, and it was low, already muddy/wet. Lots of sites unoccupied, so I called again, left voicemail about changing site, no return call.  We finally set up in a different site and spent the night, and half the next day (due to rain/wind). Never heard from campground host. Used showers - water was hot, better than nothing.  No doubt this place is nicer in season. I would stay again if couldn't find a better option.

The couple who greeted us at the gate were a fountain of knowledge.  And a great help. 

The Willow Beach COE was a beautiful & peaceful park with about 21 camping sites with water & electric. We stayed in the last site (F21) on the water side. Fishermen and pretty dragonflies enjoyed the area. We did not use the bathroom facilities but they were very neat and clean. The power stayed on during a bad lightening storm without an issue. A branch came down on our rV but luckily there was only minor paint damage to the roof. The park is a great place to walk/run or ride bikes on the paved roads. The camp hosts were nice & helpful. There are groceries & fuel not too far from the campground.

As with other COE campgrounds we have stayed at, this campground is typical of the standards & quality we expected! WOW, & BEAUTIFUL was the first two words we said when we pulled in! Very spacious sites, clean, level paved pads for parking on. Picnic tables, fire rings, water and electric are provided. We camped in site F7 across road from the water but still had a great view of the Arkansas River! 

We stayed here 1 night while traveling.  It was clean with level concrete sites.  The park was beautidul and quiet.  Unfortunately they do not have sewer.  The bath house was clean but no a/c which made showering a sauna. We would stay again for night.  

This is a great little inexpensive place for a night or 2.  Right on the Arkansas river.  Large shady spots with level sites.  Bathrooms are clean however there is not air conditioning which in the symmer means bathing in a sauna.  Unfortunately no sewer hookups but they do have a dump station.   Hot and humid in late July. 

We really liked this place until someone stole our stuff when we went to the dump station and into town for groceries. It kind of ruined our stay here since it was our first camping trip with our new RV. But we learned you can’t trust anyone. Liked our site’s view of the lake. Bathrooms and showers were clean and nice. Didn’t use them because we left early. No one was at the front gate to check you in, so lots of non campers drive through the park so it doesn’t feel safe. 

Beautiful gem. All we can say. 

Only stayed for 1 night and was disappointed I didn't have more time to be able to spend more time.  Large sites and full hookups.  I couldn't ask for much of a better view out my picture window.  The sites are level and paved.  You won't be disappointed. 

Spent 2 nights here, 1 in Nov. and 1 in Dec. of this year. Great place not far from Little Rock, Arkansas.  A little out of the way, but that is what makes it that more inviting.  Clean park and very clean restrooms. Hiking trail, picnic area, boat launch, small playground and Camping.  Only strange thing is that I never saw any staff around, not even to greet or insure we were the person who registered the site, online.🤔

Great deal for Senior Pass price of $9.50. Paved level pads (back in), electric and water.  New bathrooms are very clean, all handicapped accessible. Hot water was HOT. Shade trees, playground. boat launch. Pretty buggy but it's right on the water, so that's to be expected.  Less than 20 minutes drive to downtown Little Rock. Onsite manager and gate locked at night for security.  We would definitely come back. 

Great location and spacious sites. But no bathroom in campground. One under construction that attendants said should have been open by now and they don’t know when. We had to drive almost a mile to showers where there were 4 but only one open because homeless were coming in and trashing them. Campground has potential for a 5 star when bath room in campground is open if ever.

a bit of a drive off I-40, but worth it.  23 sites....electric and water.  Quiet, on a small peninsula with water all around.  level sites, paved everywhere.  playground, picnic tables with roofs. nice trees, and each site has firepit.  Camp host comes by and picks up camp fee.  Very pleasant place.  Nice little secret in Arkansas.

We have stayed here many times. They have new and clean bathrooms and showers. They going to build another one to replace one old one. Beautifully kept place with sites right on the Arkansas river on one side and a great fishing lake on other. Small lake but has Crappy, Bream and Catfish fishing. Seniors pass it is $9.50 per night. One of the best places we have stayed in.  Roads are flat which makes for great bicycle riding.

Only $20 a night for power and water  so there is that. Surrounded by water and birds with sites shaded by old growth trees. Sites are level and paved. Grass mowed and no litter.  Decent verison and just 15 mins from down town. So why 2 stars? The bathrooms are filthy. I mean totally unacceptable. Mice in the trash can, cig butts in the sink and in the floor, cockroaches in the lights. Looks like they made a half hearted effort to clean the floor 'where the priest walks'. But walls and corners have black spots all over.  If the took care of the johns as well as the outside it would be a five star place.  Just an additional notes to say we have traveled for over 600 days now and this is one of the worst reviews I have written.
