Waupaca S'more Fun Campground

We are full time and decided to alter our summer plans due to fuel prices. In early May we made a reservation here for a stay in Sept. I cancelled yesterday (6/10/22). They require a deposit for half of the total due for your stay when you make the reservation.  My refund consists of a gift certificate for the CG that must be used this season at this campground, minus a $15 fee.  What a load of crap.  Normally I read the cancellation polices, but missed this one.  I cancelled 10 reservations throughout MI & WI.  This is the only one that did not credit back my deposits to my credit card.  Horrible policy.  Out $183.  

We've stayed here several times.  Owners are fabulous and care about your experience.  Bathrooms are clean and sites have cement pad. Sites are well shaded.  A few are close together.

We stayed for 4 nites in a 33ft Motorhome with 30 Amp Elec and Water. Great site overlooking Old Taylor Lake. The site had solid surface pad, and a wood deck. They have a nice pool, store, playground, and the camp host Craig and his wife couldn't be nicer. 
There is pump out facilities near the shower house, which was clean and updated. It appears to have several well kept seasonal lots away from the lake on the upper tier of the campground. The only issue we had was that their main water pumping for the CG must have gone out the 1st night about 3am, that said, they had an emergency call in, and water was restored by 930am. The next day they were back for a permanent fix, and Craig came by the site to give us a heads up that the water would be off for 45mins to complete the repair. That was a very professional move. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here Wednesday-Friday. Being mid-September, it was very quiet with only a few other campers and some permanents there. Many sites have concrete pads along with full hookups. Our site was long but not overly wide. All sites had shade.
