Vedder River Campground

First time staying here at Vedder River.  Sites are right beside the river,  clean, level and upgraded.  Staff are friendly and helpful.  Beautiful trail along the river.  We will be back!

Lovely recent upgrades ( purchased by FVRD from Cultus parks in 2018 and given a $480K grant from the BC government in 2023 for upgrades) to campsites, restrooms, play areas.  Potholes filled in. Lots of new trees planted, and obvious signs of constant care with the grounds. Level canpsites, love the pull through full service sites.  Right next to the river and rotary walking trail. You can get excellent tv reception with no antennae for 17 stations. Fast free wifi. Very quiet & well run. Loved our stay. 

We just overnighted but check in person was friendly, site was level and everything worked.

Great staff. The road to sites are the worst I have experienced. Pot holes that will shake everything in your RV and test your vehicle suspension. Wifi is spotty at best, not good. Sites are clean and well
Managed. Washrooms are not vey clean and need to be painted and throughly cleaned.

We read some reviews about how close the sites are to one another. We camped during COVID measures, which meant every second campsite was left empty. That gave a lot a breathing room. Stayed there twice. Hiked part of the trail and loved it. I can see how it would not be quite the same experience when fully occupied.

Some of the views are good.  Others are near the river, but not that near. Most sites are very close together. Go have a look at the site before you take it. $40 back in site. 30 amp + water. Had to "share" the sewer connection. $ 1 per devise for Wi- Fi. We were there during a very busy weekend in July. LOTS of tents and everything else. Noisy at night and quiet time was not enforced at all.  Showers and washrooms are not maintained and need to be replaced. Good location in relation to Chilliwack. 

Nice campground right on the river with very scenic views. Cheaper than Sunnyside - $28 per nite. Wi-Fi also worked here. Most campsite are on level grass.
