Valley View RV Park

Staff was nice. Park needs some love. 

We stayed two nights to visit the Great Basin NP. The site had broken glass and cigarette butts. The pull through sites are parallel to HWY 93, which can be noisy, so one night is not bad, but two nights was too much.
Recommend the back-in sites, they look shadeyer and I would guess,  the pull through rigs dampen the sound.
No park map provided, had to search for the dumpster.

35 ft, pull thru.  Right off the road.  Tolerable road noise.  Pull through is narrow.  Friendly staff and accommodating.  Good shower.

Greeted by the owner and he was very nice.  Level pad and easy hookup.  Worth every penny.  Neighbors were nice.  Very clean and easy to find--highly recommend!

We had reservations at Ward Mountain campground 6 miles out of town, but came to Ely a day early and decided to spend the night here at Valley View. I was a little leery because of the comments about the mobile home park and full timers, but we were so impressed we decided to spend the entire week here!! We got a site backed up to the beautiful grassy area so our dog could walk and play too. We even let her off leash for a bit to chase her ball. Everyone in the full time spots were so friendly and nice! The young manager was excellent! Answered every question we had. The RV spots filled up each night so we had new neighbors, but everyone was friendly and we learned most were snowbirds and stayed here over the years while passing through. We will definitely put this RV Park in our "will come again" book!!

The lady at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The site we had was pretty level, a nice big grass area for the dog.
The bathrooms were clean. You do get highway noise. The WIFI is not very good it kept kicking my phone off. There are a lot of permanent rigs and some are pretty run down, we had a commercial box truck next to us.
It's a good place for a couple of days.

I pull a 14 foot vintage trailer with no bathroom and ask them if they could put me close to the restrooms and they did. The place was even but not much grass.  The restroom facilities were old, but that was fine with me. I don’t look for fancy but clean. 

Claude took our reservation and checked us in and we sure enjoyed his hospitality. The place is green, lots of trees. Dogs welcome! Clean and quiet. We will be back! 

Perfectly level sites, a bit of road noise, reasonable fee, good internet. No designated area for dogs but lots of grass. Friendly staff. Unique shower/bathroom set up, a bit worn but fits the bill for an overnight stay.

Small park but big on hospitality and help. Full hooks if needed, excellent wifi, level gravel sites, super clean showers. The town (Ely) has a working train museum was excellent. Kids and old folks will really enjoy. You can roam the captured in time depot, out buildings and maintenance shops up close and personal. The equipment to maintain the trains is a mechanics dream. Steam train rides are available, so check schedules. Only downside was a bit of road noise if that bothers you. Also town has an old time drugstore with soda fountain and toy shop in basement. 

Poor WiFi connection. Disappointing. Nice green grass for our puppy.

Rough place. No wifi. Mostly long term people. 

Host was very nice. Showers were available but I did not use. I was parked in a decent size pull thru (didn't unhook). 
Dirt and gravel areas, full hook ups, decently spaced apart.
Road noise didn't keep me awake. Either there was very little or I was extremely tired.
I recommend this place if you venture on the Loneliest Road in America.

Just don't stay here. No consideration. Very rude! I'm reporting them and hope others will follow suit. GO OUT OF BUSINESS. Or fire the guy.

Stayed for a night passing through. It was 17 degrees and -2 at night. So only hooked up power. Cable appears to be there but did not get it to work. WiFi worked fine as I was the only short term there, and picked a spot closer to the office. 

Spent 4 days here at the end of Sep 2020 at $30.00 per day.  The park is divided into short term and long term.  We stayed in the short term.  The long term residents are a mix match of junky RV's and junkier mobile homes.   The short term area is a mixture of gravel back-in's and pull thru's.  Our back-in site under the trees was level but several pull-thru sites were not level.  WiFi was only OK, water pressure was 20 PSI (very weak), 50 amp electric and sewer work as designed.  No cable but 38 OTA channels.  Bathrooms and laundry ($1.50 to wash & $1 to dry) are new and spectacular.  Driers needed 2 times to dry.  Lots of road noise, speeding residents and lots of dogs off leash.  No place for the kiddies excepts the beautiful green grass center court yard.  Odd:  During check-in we were not told the location of the trash, location of the bathrooms/showers or the rules of the park.  The trash container are open box utility trailers.

Nice, clean, level, gravel sites. Some road noise and not much atmosphere, but grassy area in center.

Desk guy was a nice kid. Put us in a wide spot so we could park the Rv and truck w/boat side by side. Bath rooms were old but clean, could’ve used a bath mat. Pet walk was dried weeds but there was a grassy area surrounded by permanent residents if you want to walk between homes. It may have been nicer at one time 

Campground right on the highway. Lots of highway noise. Staff was friendly. Campground was gravel. We stayed only one night and left early the next morning. Didn’t use any of the facilities.

Clean and big spots. Easy to access.

On the way there we had like NO reception nor internet but just pulling up was no issue. 
Our pull through slot had the best mountain View.

Loves truck stop right there too before heading further through a whole lot of nothin

$30 with Good Sam discount. FHU, free wifi, propane available, pleasant staff, pull thru's available. Just north of Ely on Rt 93. Some shade. Quite tidy, good value.

Nice place. Would stay again. Very nice grassy area in center. Next to road but not much noise. Owner was very nice. Big trees with shade.

Bathroom not ok. Toilets wouldn't flush, not clean, no shower mat on the floor.  Overnighter, like us,  parked near the road so it's a bit noisy.  Gravel snd weeds, some grass.  Not much to choose from other than the KOA down the road.  Paid  $30.65 with Good Sam

Nice park, fairly level spaces. Lots of long termers in the back area w/lots of shade trees. Front area next to road so some road noise early in the evening but seems to lessen later, not so bad that it disturbs sleeping. Some pull through spaces that are a little tight depending on your rig. Length, #of slides. Water spigots vary with site you may need a short extension as some are recessed into the ground. Rates w/good sam is just over $30. Didn't use the facilities. Laundry room was clean and not too expensive. Didn't use the wifi. Ota tv was ok, reno and las vegas channels. 

In need of some TLC. Power boxes pretty beat up. I was told there was grass. A few of the areas do. The live in spaces. We had no grass and the whole place is in need of fresh gravel. Very dusty. Is located next to busy highway. People we nice. 

Nice Good Sam park in a good location to visit Ely. There is considerable road noise from the very active highway so light sleepers should not park near it. Hookups worked fine and TV antenna brought in several stations. Wifi worked okay and staff was friendly too. Would return.

Some highway noise. Level pull throughs but unpaved, dusty, muddy when wet. Owner very nice. Decent wifi.

Good place to stay for overnight if passing through. Price is very reasonable. Road noise from highway but also convenient access because of it. Wifi is slow and I used an extender. 

Traveling alone with 2 small puppies, was given a spot with a pile of dog shit in middle of the 'lawn'; weeds and burrs to boot.
I informed lady at office I was leaving.  Yep, was charged just the same.
My Good Sam stops have been enough of a disappointment, that I will not waste my time with them again.  BTW, all you nasty dog owners who can't be bothered to pick up after them, make a mess for little dogs that have to wade through your crap, at every rest stop, park and campground.  Thanks, NOT.

Nice clean bathrooms nice grassy area to walk dogs.  Nice large site great price.  Would definitely stay again.  No fox tails like ELY KOA.

Nice for a short visit.   Reasonably priced

Highway noise didn't bother me. Clean bath, toilet, laundry house. Full hookups. Site 40 was a good one. Will use again if travel this route. Appreciate affordable fee of <$30.

Called ahead & Manager made arrangement for our late arrival.  Clean Bathroom/Shower combo.
Would stay again.

It was too noisy for my liking right next to the highway picnic tables were scattered each space did not have their own I got there on a Friday the dumpster was full and was not dumped over the weekend

We stopped and got one of the last pull throughs. Great folks,  there are full timers on the outer rim, but not really to much of abother. Our site was right next to the fence so we had road noise, but with the AC going it wasn't a problem.  One friendly dog that was not tethered, but was moving on. Most folks disposed of their pets wastes. Do watch out for the burrs when walking your pet. Would stop again if coming this way.

The positive first: roomy, nice trees, nice management,  beautiful grassy area. 
The negative: it's dominated by long term residents and run down mobils. You are right next to the 2 lane highway so you do get some traffic noise. 
Not a bad place and it was cheap $27.00 pn. You certainly can't fault them for having all the long term residents but it does tend to make the park look a little tacky. Watch where you walk too, there was a bit of dog poo around the park.  It's really a shame when people won't pick up after their animals.  

I liked the shade of the trees, the large grass area, and ease of the parking. I would definitely stay here again.
