Tunnel Mountain Campground Villlage I

We were dry camping - our first time doing this in our big rig. It’s a beautiful campground, great trails for waking the dogs, trees dividing most of the campsites and the spectacular views of Banff!  The shuttle comes to the campground although we drove into town.  We had planned to “rough it” so this worked. It dumped rain a few nights and got pretty cool at night (in mid August) so be prepared!  BTW- if you have dogs, Banff has an amazing dog park in town by the stables- but it’s not well advertised so ask a local for the info!! 

Good place to stay when in Banff, bus service was great. Bathroom & showers good.

Nice campground, stayed here in 44 ft DP with toad. Pull through no problem except had to raise passenger side, did not use bathhouse. Would stay again.

Great campground with views and trails. Close to the town of Banff. We were in J24 which was big enough for our 36' Class A, a tow dolly and our car. Clean bath and shower house. No hookup site but quiet and we had shade. Dogs were happy. Generators allowed 9-10:30am and 5-7pm. Dump station on the way out.

Sanitaire propre. Site pour rv pas fameux. Site à la queue leu leu. Autobus gratuit pour se rendre en ville. 

Overall a nice campground with gorgeous views of the mountains.  The restroom facilities are upkeep and clean even though each building services about 80 sites.  The staff is friendly and helpful.  Sites are gravel with picnic table, fire ring, shade and are mostly level.  The layout of some is a bit awkward for travel trailers.  Its you have a larger rig, 25 feet or more, stick with the site on the outside of the loop they are better suited for them.  Like many Canadian campgrounds they have fire wood already cut that you can use, this is why you pay the mandatory optional fire permit fee.

This is a great federal government campsite.  Unserviced sites.  Water available at entrance, Sani dump at exit.  With our fee of $35- per night came a fire permit and free firewood.  Free shuttle to Banff, $2- charge per person to come back.  618 sites.  Make reservations, I did and the site was full
