Trinidad Walmart Supercenter

Went in the store to ask permission to camp and was told it was fine. I stayed one night and it was really quiet. The lot was well lit and pretty level. There was a security guard circling the parking lot but I didn't see anything to be concerned about. The store was clean and the employees were very friendly.I bought a few groceries before I left.I will definitely stay there again

We called ahead to ensure they still allowed overnight RVs. They gave us the ok. We parked close to the road, on then edge of the parking lot. It was a quiet night and several other overnighters were there in the morning. 

I am a Canadian tourist and I always go first to the WM customer service counter and ask for permission which was granted. I stayed there overnight for several non-consecutive days as I was doing some hiking in the area. Needless to say that I did all my grocery shopping in their store….I think I spent close to $200.- ….it’s a win-win. 

This is a great place to stop for the night. Huge parking area so you can park way away from the store.  Well lighted, nice store, and great people.

We stayed on 11-2-2023 Called ahead and they welcomed us staying overnight.  Security driving through the parking lot often.  

Nice quiet stay, no issues. 10 other RVs here with us. We parked at the back of the lot by the grass. Grass nearby for dogs and trashcans located by cart return. Recommend. 

Nice flat, quite place to stay. There were about 6 other rvs already parked. We pulled in after dark. Left around 9 am.  The store is clean.

Yep, it's signed for 24 hour parking limit and private security is circling the lot, I spent the night with about a dozen or so big rigs and RV's. It's a fairly level, well maintained, clean and well lit parking lot. Parking is available to the south and east portions of the store. I parked at the perimeter near I-25. I was able to access Walmart wifi and also had full bars of Verizon 4G LTE (Roaming). As always, I left my area cleaner than when I arrived and made an in store purchase to thank Walmart for allowing me to overnight. 

Rv are allowed to stay there up to 24 hours.

Clean store, nice people and lots of parking.  Some highway noise but slept like a baby.

Replenished our food and supplies at this very nice store. Thankful for the peaceful night.

Great stop, lots of room, well lit, wonderful WAL-MART people.

First stay at a Walmart overnight.  Very pleased, felt safe.  Nice level lot, easy in and out.  Truckers were also using the lot overnight and several other RV rigs.  Employee suggested using bathrooms in rear of store since homeless would use the front restrooms and trash them.  Back of  store  restrooms were much cleaner and in better shape once we learned of this trick.Picked up  few things we needed also. Very convenient to have the store nearby.

A well lit parking lot. Customer service told us to stay to the edges of the lot. A good place to stay for a night. We would stay again. 

Park on the side around the back by the tire shop. Nice and quiet. Walmart opens at 6:00 a.m. Very little noise during the night.

I tried calling to confirm if I could overnight there but nobody answered and after several minutes of ringing, the call dropped.  There were about a half dozen rigs of different sizes when we arrived so I figured we were OK. You won’t find a perfectly level spot, but close enough along the outskirts of the lot.  Traffic noise from the highway wasn’t too bad. Noise from the trucks pulling in later in the evening was more noticeable.  I would stay here again. 

We were able to shop and rest.

Maybe because of Sunday, there were not many motorhomes and semis. It was quiet and we rested well. 

Was so loud and noisy and busy. 

There were " no overnight parking" signs everywhere.  We stayed in a fifth wheel with all slides out, and even briefly unhooked, so we could go down town shopping on "Green Street."  Both days, when we woke up, there were 7-10 other rigs, ranging from huge new coaches with generstors running all night, to stealth vans.  The signs don't seem to be enforced at all.

Great overnight stop, friendly staff, safe.  Ask manager first.

We stayed there night before last with no problem and there were several other rigs, but in the morning we saw what looked like a new sign that said no rv parking. Still, we had no knock on the door.

Right on the Interstate, about a dozen other RV’s great place to stay. 

We parked here for the night as the winds were too high to drive. Many other RVs here. It's close to the highway so there's noise from trucks going by. We got some groceries and slept well.

We were turned away when others were parked, both truckers and campers. 

No overnite due to corona virus.

Excellent place to overnight. Great people, lot's of room.  Get permission from manager and buy your groceries there.

Stayed 4/17/19 lots of room plenty of other RVrs. Asked at the service desk they were very friendly.

Right off I-25. Gas stations nearby. Checked in at service desk and they showed me where to park. About a dozen other RVs spent the night. 

Busiest parking lot I've ever stayed in. 30+ other RV's on a Tuesday night. Lots of trash blown off to the side but it wasn't too sloped and it was quiet even being right off of I-25.

There were already plenty of RVs in the lot when we arrived mid-week after dark. Lots of semi truck traffic—a few of them stayed in the lot with the rest of the RVs. This Walmart is open until midnight—staff here was super nice. There’s a mailbox right next to the entry door (Thought I’d mention it for those of us with the occasional snail mail needs:)) Thank you Walmart!

Great place for overnight.  Friendly WalMart staff, lots of other rigs, lots of room, easy off, easy on I-25.  Tip- great barbeque in WalMart deli, comes from local supplier! 

Called ahead and they said to park on the end as others have said. There were about 10 semis and 20-25 RVs. Bought some supplies and groceries before heading out. Will stay again. 

Quite a few folks here and they keep coming. Outer ring about full so now fills are taking outer parking lot spaces.

Picked up some boneless wings from the deli for dinner. Tasty.

Walmart rocks! 

Weather was cold so I ran my generator for a couple hours before crashing and again from about 5-7am. (So I could run a small electric heater). Normally I wouldn't have done that but I was parked in the back of the lot close to the interstate... So I didn't think my generator would bother anyone any more than the road noise. This is a nice walmart. There were about 10 RVs in the back of the lot when I stayed. 

Nice to be able to pull in and crash for a night for free! Staff is very nice and accommodating. We would recommend this Wal-Mart for a night stop, all you have to do is park around the outer edges of the parking lot and your golden. Not much around except an auto parts store but Wal-Mart has everything you need. 

Stayed for one night - and then woke up to a high wind advisory the next day.  Talked to the folks in the store and they had no problem with me staying another night til it was safe to travel.  Super nice.  Thanks Walmart. 

Great spot for a quiet night. Plenty of green space to walk dogs, nice store for shopping! There is an auto parts store in walking distance.

There were 14 RVs in the lot when we stayed. Plenty of room for all of us plus a few big rigs. All RVs and rigs were respectful (perimeter parking and only one slide out... if even that). Peaceful night. Level lot. No fast food within walking distance, but who needs that when Walmart is right there with great prices! This store has great scenery out back and if you walk off the lot and across the quiet road, you will get a treat. A quiet neighborhood for enjoying time outside stretching your traveler' legs.
We will definitely stop when we pass through again. Thank you, Walmart! 

Pulled into this Walmart because the wind was almost blowing us off the road!  Several RV's in lot.  Good for overnight but as we did not unhook was not happy that there were no restaurants that were within walking distance.  Could not even buy a coffee in Walmart.  Make sure you have food and drink on board!!  Walmart did sell chickens and salad.

There were several RV's and big trucks in the lot when we arrived in the late afternoon. We found getting around the parking lot very easy for a big motor coach. The grassy area around the front of the lot is great to walk your dog. Overall, it was a great experience!

Friendly staff, easy access from I-25.  We asked if they allowed overnight RV parking, and the employee said "always".  There were 6 to 8 other RVs, one of which unfortunately was parked right in the middle of the car parking area, rather than along the perimeter.  Makes us all look bad.  11/2015

Flat. 4 trucks and rvs here when we arrived at 5pm. Almost 20 by 9pm. Road noise but not terrible. Dissapointing to see most rvs with their sides out and some with deck chairs. One even had pot plants outside.  So much for keeping a low profile. These are the people who will ruin it for everyone else

Easy in and out. Park near the road. Near I-25 and can hear highway traffic.
