Swiss Valley County Park

Park is not well marked, and no staff around to assist. Bathrooms were ok, but the water had a distinct Sulphur (rotten egg) smell in the shower.  Park is well shaded, and very quiet. Very close to Dubuque 

Very well maintained,  very clean park. Spaces are well separated. Beautiful place to camp. Our only issue was with one camper who thought the "keep your dog on a leash" rule didn't pertain to him. 

Beautiful area of NE Iowa with lots of trees, creek and park area...RV site is easy to back into, level and has nice hookups...

We just stayed one night passing through. Everything was clean and self service check in. We stayed at a 50amp site with water.  There’s a dump station even though an earlier reviewer said there wasn’t. It’s beside the bath house and not obvious. 

Good campground, little off the beaten path but great valley to camp in. Level sites, water and electric only. Did not use bath houses. Very busy on weekends. Did not give  5 stars because no sewer. Stayed in 40' motorhome. Will stay here again.

Very nice park, clean, well looked after park. Sites were a little close, but not bad. No sewer, so that’s why I only gave four stars. Used pavilion for family gathering, was very nice. Will stay there again.

Quiet county owned park. Bathhouse is fairly clean and humid but parking spots are easy to pull into. There is a camp host and a Park Ranger in the area. 30% reservable spots in advance. 70% first come first serve spots for tents or RV. If you don’t have reservations, pick a non reservable spot (no R on the post) and one WITHOUT a yellow reserved paper on the post. There is self registration and a dropbox for payment of cash or check. Walkable distance away is a nice more shaded day use area of the park with a very shallow creek, Pavillion, and 2nd playground. We will return here!

Back in sites are well shaded. Steady power. Good water.

It's a great park. It is water and electric with a dump station. Very large and long sites are available. Easy back in and pull through. Triple axel 5th wheels , large class a with a tow vehicle are all in the park. The road to the park is a country road with curves, don't let that scare you away. The parks roads are very wide. Sites are level. One of the best county parks I have seen.

Nice quiet campground with good water pressure and large sites. Firewood is sold realtively cheap $5 for 12 pieces. Ranger lives on site and patrols and the stream that passes through is stocked with trout throughout the year.
