St. Johns County Rest Area 2 (Northbound)

A decent place to spend the night with the RV. The picnic area closes at dark but there is plenty of RV parking in an RV designated area. As others have mentioned when the truck parking gets full they come over to the RV area so expect running diesel engines to park next to you. The restrooms were fairly clean but smelly. The only downside that I found was that according to this app they have water available which is not true. If the app shows water available I expect to be able to find a hose bib outside and I did not see any anywhere. Otherwise a nice rest area.

All parking is behind the building and away from the interstate. Car/van area has some parallel parking. Picnic area extended further back (daytime use) is very nice and quiet.

Nasty rest area. Very dirty and smelled horriable. Florida should be ashamed.

Asked the security guard and he said yes they do allow overnights. Overall not bad. A bit loud with traffic and in/ outs of cars but safe and felt comfortable. Washrooms were decent. 

Seperate section for RV's but as it gets later trucks come over to park. Nice secure facility with patrol. Overnighted with no issues 

There is a separate parking lot for RV but there is a sign  "no overnight parking allowed"

Only problem is the truckers take over and park on the RV side as well so you don't get much quiet or clean air.  Something we were hoping to avoid by stopping at this rest area vs the truck stop further ahead.
