Sioux Falls Walmart Supercenter

Phoned the store today, July 10, 2023, and was informed that overnights are no longer permitted. Per suggestion from an earlier review, phoned Sam's next door and they DO allow overnight parking along the street. There is significant traffic noise. Checked out the Cracker Barrel but it's a fairly small parking lot. No room for a class a towing a pickup.

I called Walmart local office (7/2/2023) and was told parking an RV overnight was not permitted.  Next door is Sam's and several RVs were parked overnight.

In addition to other's reviews stating the parking lot is small and crowded... the parking lot is currently (May 2023) undergoing some sort of massive construction. In the middle of the parking lot there are Bobcats and Backhoes tearing up the asphalt. The remaining lanes are tight making it a challenge to navigate in a good-sized rig.
I needed groceries but I didn't stop here after seeing the chaos; there's always another Wally-World down the road a bit.

Small parking lot and crowded so I parked near Sam’s Club. Local road is fairly noisy. 

Other reviewers stated this Walmart was loud. Now, it was chilly last night so we did not have the windows open. But we were parked right along the curb next to Louise Ave. and it wasn't bad at all. We thought it was pretty quiet and we slept very well! We were 1 of 2 campers and no one bothered us.

Very convenient location because of all the stores, shopping malls, food ect… but this place was LOUD. Hours are 6a-11p and it sounded like the “meet- up” spot for any cars with no exhausts from 8pm-11… LOL - but otherwise it was a safe, good location. A Few other rv’s and skoolies parked by us too. Walmart was very clean & had friendly staff. The parking lot is small, but everything was level and plenty of room to find a spot. If we stayed again we would definitely try to park in a corner away from all the traffic. 

Talked to manager, she said we could park overnight  along S Louise Ave.    Uploaded a picture. Where we parked

Stopped to load up on provisions and asked manager about overnight RV parking. She said as long as we parked by the garden center near Louise road and we didn’t set up a camp. We slept with windows open and it was quiet. Felt safe

Spoke to manager and said overnight RV parking isn’t allowed due to local ordinance.

We were  told just park along service road - noisy though

Spoke to manager: Says overnight parking is allowed as long as you park close to Louise Ave.

Customer Service indicated to spark in furthest row, alongside S. Louise Ave.. Note that there is some slope toward Louise Ave. 

I called ahead and they said no problem for a night and if you stay out of the way.  We had to be in town for a few days and stayed there the whole time. (Others did too.) Nice Walmart and staff.  

stayed here with no problems or complaints. slept perfect. there were some teens hanging out & riding motorcycles in the parking lot. a little loud but they were no trouble otherwise. good place to stay a night. called ahead too & the employee said it was ok 

I felt like I was going to be nocked on in the middle of the night. Lots of big rigs there with Canada plates, Jack's down, all their slides out. I  stayed at the low down the road

Just spoke to the store manager on duty. She was really nice and helpful. She said she didn’t have a problem with us staying there if we wanted to risk it, but that it’s against city ordinance in all of Sioux Falls for overnight parking. 

Stayed at Cracker Barrel, however called ahead and Walmart said it was okay to park in their lot.  If you want to stay at Walmart, always call ahead, these reviews aren't always correct it could be out dated.

Checked with the manager and he said they were not zoned for overnighters and would be kicking out the three rv's that were there.  When I asked it there was anywhere else, he said it was a city ordinance for no overnights

We stayed here 2 times in 2 years. There is always rvs there. 

Parked out by St. Louis Avenue near other RV'ers.  Car's racing up and down the road all night. Not sure if this is a regular thing or not but it was quite annoying.
