San Clemente State Beach

This was a fantastic stop near the beach with great views even from my campsite and quick beach access!

USD 40! Very nice. If you dont need power take the dry campsites - much nicer.

USD 65 with no sea view. Hockup Sites are close (no privacy). You hear the highway very good. Dry camping much nicer.

I stayed here for for nights with my small RV and here is my experience. The phone and internet reception on Sprint and Verizon is decent. The sites are close to one another and only a few sites have direct view to the ocean. The best site with great view is 88. This is a tent site, no hookups. The bathrooms are clean and there are coin showers. The trail down to the beach is a bit steep, but doable. It's a perfect place if you like to surf, or be on the beach. It's also great if you like biking, there are biking trails nearby. Overall I had a peaceful few days, I was able to relax, exercise and also work during my days. http://smallRVlifestyle.com

How can they claim they are "big rig accessible" when their web site clearly states 30' max. I spent many weeks as a kid there with my family and its was a great place and probably still is. Just fix the listing

Campground is nice with drive thru RV sites. We have stayed here multiple times during the last 8 years. Each visit is different. Great places to explore. The walk to the beach can be challenging when bring a lot of supplies (chairs, umbrella, coolers etc). The path is paved but is steep in places. The beach can be quite rocky and rough. On our last visit life guards warned of riptides and coral. The train does past thru several times every hour and some may find the train noise bothersome. Lastly, sites are close together, so beware of possible noisy neighbors. 

Great views of ocean. All hookups. Rangers very nice. But the California reserve America system for reserving sites stinks. All the rangers agree this Canadian company is not a good system. Avoid California state parks for that reason. Really kind of sad they use this system.
