Salem Walmart

stayed 1 night, no issues. we were the only RV/van overnighting. small parking lot. we parked on walmarts side of the parking lot. there are a lot of no overnight parking signs but no one bothered us. 

Very small Walmart with the minimum of articles compared with Supercenter where you get grocerie inside. The minimum of food. Even if it is wrote overnight parking is not allowed, the manager told me that it is no problem for RV to stay for the night.  There is a noisy place till about 11PM -midnight, very ligthtly spot and the store open at 6AM but not really a problem if you have ear buds or close your windows.  We had a good night, sleeped almost till 9AM. :-)

So this is a medium size property with no Murphys fuel station. The lot was clean, well maintained, well lit and fairly level. I had 4 bars of Verizon 4G LTE, 13 OTA television channels and no access to store wifi from my perimeter location. As always, I left my area cleaner than when I arrived and made an in store purchase to thank Walmart for allowing me to overnight..

Has NO OVERNIGHT PARKING signs, but I stayed 3 nights and no peep from anyone.  Big store but not a superstore.

Park on the side by the GameStop. There are plenty of lights to keep an eye on things. Other than planes going to the airport not far away, it was a quiet night.

Walmart is still letting people stay overnight in the parking lot by Game Stop

Even though there are signs saying no overnight parking, a manager said we could stay at the north side of the lot near Game Stop. It may seem a bit sketchy but it was OK. 

While the reports stated that you could stay overnight in this Walmart, when we went in and asked, they emphatically said no. That was fine with us as it was crowded, noisy, and in a less than desirable part of town.

My husband's spidey senses were going off so we did not stay.   There were a few homeless people around.  while walking the dogs a local told us not to leave the camper there and do not stay overnight.  So we left.  It was small and not level anyway. 

Have 38ft rig plus bike rack and no issues - was asking around in store - customer service desk - place to go - manager knows and says - over right side of lot at the game shop - cool - stocked up there and was on my way 10am next day
Noisy till 11pm - hospital nearby so expect some sirens - none during night - also approach area for Boston Logan airport so expect airplane noise. No security issues or feeling unsafe - I am a dude :-) - be nice and help that policies dont change! - thanks Walmart

I pulled in around 10pm, I talked with customer service, it was ok to park overnight, they told me to park further away near gamestop near road. I parked behind 18 wheeler. I noticed there was a suspicious man parked in a black pickup truck. He had his interior light on and he looked slumped over. My husband and I were contemplating if we should see if he is ok or call the police. We were standing there for a few minutes looking towards his vechile, all of a sudden man pops  his head up looks at us and turns his interior light off. Few minutes later we see another truck pull next to his, they were talking or doing whatever. The man was there all night.  Other than that it was a quite night. 

Good stop, but unfortunatly they were paving the lot that night.... 😳 

The Wal-Mart itself was great, it's not a superstore, and it does close from 10p-6a. A very friendly manager even took me outside and showed me where to park. "But..." he said with a serious look, anything that happens to you--vandalism, theft--Wal-Mart is not liable." When we found the spot (which wasnt even in front of Wal-Mart, but the halloween store next door) and got out to walk the dog, the only spot of grass was littered with booze bottles. There were some people just standing around, watching us closely as we walked the dog. Maybe it would've been fine, but we aren't very tough nor armed, and just didn't feel safe, so we left.

Nice parking lot, but road traffic made for a tough night. 

Stayed one night. They do allow overnight parking.  It was a nice quiet night.

This location has signs posted saying Private Property and No Overnight Parking but I went in and asked anyway. The manager on duty said I was ok as long as I parked on the far right side of the lot. We were the only RV there but didn't have any problems. Thank you Walmart!

Stayed 2 nights and used this as a base to travel into Boston on the bus.  Manager was very happy for us to stay.  The road traffic a bit noisy, but it's what one expects.  

They do allow overnight parking. 
We went into the shop and asked. 
It was a nice quiet night
