River Vista RV Village

Friendly folks. Nice size lots. Pets and golf carts ok. 
Looks like they plan lots of upgrades. Some construction going on but wasn’t noisy or obtrusive. Current bath house in poor shape but looks like the new one will be great. Beautiful river view. I’ll come back. 

Nice place stayed an extra day clean quiet 

Was going to see family so I was not to concerned on the amenties.  I checked there website where it shows the base rate and a RV on a paved spot.  I traveled from SC and got there after they closed and my paperwork was by the office.  I drove to my spot to find the spot was mixed with other mobile home type campers where people lived.  This was fine with me but it was very hard to move a 30 foot camper thru the turns.  I looked at the spot to find a large tree root growing thru the spot.  It was also all sand.  It was 
nearly impossible to level the camper.  The next day it rained and the camper sunk over 7 inches. I spoke to the office on the next day and it seemed like they really didn’t care.  They passed a comment of people have there campers towed out all the time. Just be careful because the photo dosent exactly show your spot your getting. 

We were pleased with our first stay in Florida winter.  There are a lot of park models in the older section, and they have just built a newer section with paved sites and patios that are really nice.  We stayed in older section nearer the Little Manatee River.  Our site was a good size, had shade, but was not paved.  There was a paved patio with small picnic table.  There are lots of activities and the campground is clean and quiet.  

We made a reservation unknowing that it was a 55+ community. They don’t clearly state this online or on the phone when you call to make a reservation. Very disappointing to drive 1,600 miles and be told you can only stay a week even though you reserved 3 weeks. It’s nearly impossible to to find a place here, vacation is ruined!

Set on the Little Manatee River, beautifully maintained, well organized park with year-round park models, seasonal rvs, much shorter term folks like us. Everything is done really well. We were between some long-term people who were very welcoming. Full hookups; wifi was okay depending on time of day. Very clean bathhouses with plenty of toilets and showers. Nice rec hall: a dance and a concert while we there. All sorts of activities, as well as a pleasure to just walk around. Launch a boat or a kayak right there. Wish we’d had longer to stay.
