Kentucky Lakes / Prizer Point KOA

Went for a quiet weekend and had a beautiful spot w FHU near marina.. then the quiet was RUINED by a very inconsiderate houseboat owner. They played their music soooo loud that my wife and I couldn’t hear each other!! We called the manager and was told that “quiet time is after 10:00!” ( this went on until 10:30) … apparently this happens EVERY WEEKEND!.. we spoke to another near by camper and was told this happened earlier in the year when they were here. Park employee sd management won’t do anything because  they don’t want to lose the yearly “full time” rent the houseboat brings in!!
I know I sound like a petty chronic complainer .. I’M NOT!!.. THIS WAS OVER TGE TOP B.S…, won’t go back!

It was a nice site, but my neighbor had 5 barking dogs. The restaurant had horrible service. Waited over a hour for a cold pizza.

Overall, this was a nice campground with lots of amenities and a marina where boats can be rented. We checked-in and were led to our site (#59, which is in the older section) by a couple of hosts. It was close to a cabin on the water with a large wood deck. Backed our 30' Class A into the gravel site close to service connections; it was a snug fit and sloped a bit toward the water; I was concerned that in leveling the rear tires would be off the ground, and I feel that is an unsafe condition. The rear end was lifted a bit, but the tires were still in ground contact, so it was OK - I added wheel chocks on the front tires, and big rocks at the rear tires for extra safety. Our site was surrounded by close neighbors with kids having fun; their noise reminds of our childhoods; nice to hear. All was quiet in the late evening, and we slept peacefully ion the site. The older section sites have plenty of tree cover. The new section closer to the check-in spot are within an area with plenty of trees too; their advantage is that they are all concrete level pads; some are quite tight to get into. The only restaurant within 20 miles of the camp is the marina restaurant; it had a limited menu of basic meal options. There is a large marina/campground store with lots to choose from.  Wi-Fi is weak unless near one of their repeaters; streaming is not allowed. TV over the air is limited to 3 channels. They do provide a cable TV connection. As their site states, they charge extra for use of electric golf carts on their property. 

The good…. Stable electrical power, concrete pads, amenities for children, room for all sizes of RVs, a few excellent sites along the lake, cabins for those that use them.

The bad…. VERY Expensive, check-in time has been set later than normal (4:00 pm) and then they want a “mandatory” $25 donation to KOA Cares for early check-in, new section has campers packed as close together as possible (our fire pit was less than 3 feet from our trailer and 3 feet from the neighbors - I was scared to use it), water pressure is low even without our pressure regulator and in-line filter, very inconsistent Wi-Fi, no working cable, concrete pads are not level, narrow roads, staff is unresponsive to requests from guests and just doesn’t seem to care, restaurant is below average.

Needless to say we will not be going back.

Huge campground with amazing lake views. Lots of family fun, including marina and water park. Variety of sites and cabins from premium paved to primitive tent sites. 

Great view but a random guy came to my site and said he was a marine and he just came out a cop car from "finding some girls wallet" not only that but i was moved from my original site to the one next to it that was horrible it rained and i was stepping in mud all night not only that but when i went to shower the toilet was full of poop and the shower itself had horrible wAter pressure i can pee stronger i was dissappointed

We stayed at this KOA while on a road trip. At first, we were excited. They placed us at a nice spot (26). But when we got here, they placed us at site 10. Didn’t expect to be right out in the open and on the corner. That’s one reason for the 3 stars. There are plenty of amenities here ie pool, jumping pillow, kayaks, paddle boats etc. The lake is huge and there are some nice fish in there. Marina store closes early (6:30) which is inconvenient. There is ZERO shade at the site that we were at. This place is nice because of the size of campground and plenty of green grass. However , the wifi is not great at all. The campground said they don’t support Netflix and other things to watch some TV. The reason for 3 stars is because when we went to shower, there was a lot of s*** stuck in the toilet. I mean, it was bad. There was no water in the toilet bowl. There was s*** all over the wall. There’s no where to hang your clothes and towel. The water pressure is horrible. 
I don’t know if I would stay here again. 

We stayed two nights here after leaving Nashville. We scored a lakefront site and found it super peaceful and quiet. Some sites may require a little work to get your rig level. Well maintained. Tracy at the front desk was awesome to work with.

Wow!! This is one of the nicest RV parks we've ever been in!! The customer service is outstanding, they acted more like hosts and hostesses treating their guests. We were personally escorted to our site and he helped us back in (which always helps avoid an argument with my spouse). The lake views were glorious! It provides fun activities, the grounds are clean and very well maintained. This is an obviously well run operation. Kudos to Jessica who helped us find a perfect site in addition to other things she helped us with, she possesses outstanding customer service skills! This is a FIRST class operation without question. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We wish we could have stayed longer.

We called really last minute but they were so nice and willing to accommodate our 45’ Coach and 20’ trailer! Can’t say enough good things about this campground! Everyone was busy getting ready for Memorial Day! A little pricey but well worth it! 

My family stayed over the holiday weekend and we had a spot with ZERO shade and the top plate to our fire pit was gone. We asked as soon as we arrived and it never came despite asking multiple employees about it. There were people drinking alcohol in the kiddie pool which is ridiculous. Also the bike path they have is not really a bike path & it was quite dangerous riding bines around. I would suggest a bike path being installed and maybe a fishing pier. Shower houses could have been cleaner. We did however have a ton of fun. They had so much to offer amenities wise. The pools were awesome. The lagoon is way overpriced but you do have access to the kayaks & paddleboats which were fun! The restaurant was cool, service sucked but the catfish was tasty! I would stay here again!

We stayed in the new section in the patio sites.  The sites were nice however the area around us was horrible.  The section is too new and not ready for travelers or pets. No drainage and the ground is so soft that you just sink in the ground. Most sites were so small that the picnic was unable to use. The sites had a beautiful lake view.  The older section was a much better place to be. Disappointed for the price!!!

Great things for kids to do: carts to drive, swimming pool, movies at night on the big screen, and a huge inflatable bouncing mattress thing. Club house had ping pong and let me say it was a lot of fun, I forgot about how fun it could be just being goofy. Cable, sewer, water all ready to go at campsite. Neighbors are quite, some full timers there just be respectful. Nice place to walk around, took us two days to leisurely walk. The restaurant is nice to have, the food wasn't very good but it wasn't bad. It beats cooking on a campfire each night or trying to drive into a restaurant and find a place to fart with a big rig. Parking can be horrendous in cities, but here it is quiet. The road to the campground that goes all around the mountain is extremely tight, do not drive at night! I love this campground
