Pioneer Trails Recreation Area

Needed a place to overnight near Grand Island and found this gem in nearby Aurora.
Beautiful park, well maintained and super quiet.
Granted, it was mid week in early October, but so glad we tried it.  Will definitely come back!

Only 10 RV sites

Stayed one night here as the maiden outing of our new RV.  It is a nice rural setting with a nice little lake that is open for fishing and boating (troll moter boats).  The camp pads are all concrete and appear to be very level so quick set up.  There is one source of potable water if you need to refresh your water tank.  There is no dump station but there is a dump station nearby in the town of Aurora.  Be advised you will have to travel about 5 miles down a gravel road to reach the park.  It's a well maitained road but your vehicles will get a  bit dusty.  It does have bathroom and shower facilities. This is a very new park so all the facilities are in great shape.  There are many tree but they have only been recently planted so none are over 10 feet tall and thus provide no shade yet.

Very clean park. Small county park by lake amid farm land. 50 amp service at all RV sites. No water for RVs, no dump.
Likely busy during summer.
