Ocean Grove RV Resort

We had a spot which was more than adequate for a 16 ft RV.  Most of the time was sight seeing, but the park was extremely quiet.  I would certainly stay here again.  We have no kids or animals.  

Very pleased with the resort loved our site with shade and space very level. Pool was nice and clean restaurant was fine right next to pool. Drive on beach just across the road. Location was great! WiFi ok and cable ok but I still give it a 5 because loved the location and the marsh sunset was beautiful. Will be back!

We've stayed here twice, and love the location. The beach is right across the road, and downtown St. Augustine is not too far away. The traffic on the island can get a little busy. Our biggest issue with this place is the design. With a 42ft fifth wheel, maneuvering through the narrow roads and sites set at a 90 degree angle make it not a lot of fun to park the rig. We really liked the pool area, and they keep it nice and warm. There are quite a few full-timers in cottages and campers mixed throughout the rental sites, but everyone is general is pretty friendly. There is some fishing off the dock in the back. 

This is are third winter staying. We love it here because of the beautiful marsh/sunset views, close proximity to the beach, and the location still has an island feel without being right in the middle of St Aug beach craziness.

However, the overall quality has gone way downhill since we first started staying here. The service at both the office and restaurant has been horrible... and I get maybe they should pay their employees more. The electric has gone out for multiple sites for many hours, the gym closed permantly, the laundry room is hit or miss, and the 2 docks are completely falling apart.

They did just have 2 major hurricanes this past summer/fall but the crazy prices do not reflect the amenities offered.

This is difficult to write because we really like this place ... until the first week of March. The place is taken over by a bunch of motorcross racers who set up a compound and work on their bikes. We are talking air comressors, power washers, canopies and revving bikes. All day long. We can't even sit outside at our site because of the noise and fumes. Why the park puts up with this is beyond me. My best advice -- STAY AWAY IN MARCH!

Nice campground with many amenities!  Pool, hot tub, pool side bar and restaurant, boat ramp. Sites are very tight but clean. The Ebb Tide restaurant serves bar type foods like sandwiches, pizza, wings. We ate here the first day and it was pretty tasty. They do have propane but during our stay they didn’t have any. We had to go up the street to Ace Hardware. 

Close to the Lions Bridge and stores. Would stay here again.

They have a really nice, heated pool and hot tub along with a restaurant. It seems like a nice and down to earth park with improvements on the way. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Laundry is immaculate, showers are hot and clean, site utilities work as they should. Also, we were able to park without leveling at all (not always a given, even in Florida). We love walking to the dock on the marsh. The sites next to the marsh are amazing! Totally worth the extra $ if they are available when you are staying. It also seems safe here. We're glad to be here!

This place could be outstanding. It does have a pool, restaurant and walking distance to the beach, it is very convenient.  However, between letting people get away with not following the rules like letting their dogs and cats run loose, to some long term people who do not have respect for the way their sites look, to the stench coming from the laundry room because of faulty sewer traps which they are aware of, you will need to leave all windows closed, and poor customer service, is why this only gets three stars. 

We stayed for a month and enjoyed the amenities and activities. Nice big pool, gets pretty crowded as it is open to the public with membership. Would like to see some campers only days and adult swim time . Restaurant and bar with live music. Wide paver sites, big rig friendly and excellent maintenance in this park. Close to the beach but quite a little walk. We drove 3 miles to Crescent beach, free parking. Can also drive on the beach with 4wd and pay to park. Would definitely stay here again.

friendly atmosphere clean and the staff are wonderful. Pool area outstanding and clean. Ebb tide bar and restaurant has all you need. The hostess Coral really works to make each visit enjoyable. 

This park could have been a four or five star review. But when we had a major issue with raw sewage the staff was not very helpful.  The second to last night of our stay my husband discovered raw sewage seeping from the ground behind our camper.  The maintenance guy assured us that while the pump for the sewer lift station was down they would get a pump truck to fix it. They did get a pump truck out but the next morning it was even worse. All of our hoses we're sitting in raw sewage. It took us over an hour to bleach and wipe down all of our hoses. The maintenance man came by and started complaining to us about how bad his job was for dealing with this bad pump all the time and did not offer to help us clean our hoses or help us in anyway.  We had to pull out and move to another site to dump our tanks.  Another camper who had been staying there for quite a while said they had seen several people have the same problem in the site we were in.   When I went to the office the lady pretended not to know they had this issue and did not offer any form of compensation or someway  to make it right.  Seriously?? I just cleaned raw sewage that probably wasn't from our family off of our hoses and you don't offer to do anything??? Worst customer service ever.

This park could have been a four or five star review except for the major issue we had.  And while the issue was bad, the real reason for my low review is how the staff responded.   The third night before we were to leave we noticed a sour smell.  The next day my husband went to check our sewer connection only to find that raw sewage was coming up from the ground and was all around the backside of our camper. He went to the office and after a visit from maintenance, found that the pump in their sewage lift station was down.  They called a sewer truck to come pump out the sewage. They did offee to let us move to a different site but since we were leaving the next morning and they were sending a pump truck that was supposed to take care of the issue

 Nice park with great security. Close to downtown St. Augustine. We paid for a ‘premium’ spot. Paved drive with picnic table on cement pad. Live band played both days and pool and restaurant/bar were full due to the fact that it is open to the public. If you eat/drink there, you are welcome to use pool. The website says ‘quick walk to the beach’ NOT TRUE.  No beach access without driving to a road that leads to the beach. Must pay to park on the beach. This was a disappointment, as we were looking forward to some beach time, especially with the pool being crowded. Could not get the cable to work and the internet was spotty. 
Restrooms and showers were nice and clean. 
This was our very first time camping at an RV park. We felt it was quite expensive. 

Was a bit down on the place over sort of so so maintenance.....Well, they came right over to fix cable!   VIEWS are nice and all in all a good place to stay.

So so place with many perms.  Cable is broken....  Sort of run down and there are no camp hosts or employees around. ..sort of a self service place at high prices.   Pool is nice...hot tub closed for repairs and to open during peak season...WTF....February is peak!  Nice location and best to be on the water side. 

Ok but not great older park with tight spots lots of park models. OK for a few days. Lots of park models for sale. No real view spots worth paying for and the view is the marsh.
Any type and kind or RV allowed. A bit noisy.

We're on our second winter stay here and we love it.  Like all RV parks there are day to day maintenance issues around the park, but unless you visit immediately after a hurricane your visit should be completely comfortable and uneventful.
After 27 states in our first year only Utah could complete, and that was for hundreds of dollars more on status over two weeks.  If you're over nighting and on a budget Florida is not the state for you; even State parks go for $35/night and up.
Ocean Grove is one of our favorites nationwide.

We stayed here for 4 nights on the Memorial Day weekend 2016 and were very pleased. The pool area had just been redone and was as nice as it gets. It was a large pool with stone deck and hot tub. The hot tub was under a roof and out of direct sun. We were assigned D109 and it was a back in site for our 35' motorhome. Our site had shade trees and was a great full hook up site. The rates were around $70 per night. We will be leaving tomorrow and will arrange another visit in the future. The staff was helpful.

Pulled in did not like the park went back to the office try to get my money back refused to give it back told me I had to pay a $25 cancellation fee I was there 10 minutes go down the street to Bryan  mast Ocean resort much better cheaper

Stayed for a 3 day weekend. several park models, but well maintained. Amazing view of the marsh on the back side of the park. This place is well suite for snowbirds, but a great place to slip in between seasons. Beach access is nearby. Good dinner options close by, even walking distance. We will come back.

This park obviously reserves the best tree covered spaces for more permanent our monthly pay guests. We pulled in for only five days and got an open space pull through with no pad. It seems all they relatively permanent stays had pads.

Who ever serviced the Jacuzzi, put so much chlorine in, it bleached the desk brown right out of a bathing suit. Access to the beach requires driving, not far, and a small fee for access. Might stay again.
