Marion County Park

I can’t believe we are the only ones here. This is a nice park on the water. It’s actually a peninsula.  It is mid week Nov though. They just updated the water and electricity.  Pull thrus are long, 80’ or so. They have sites right along the water also. Easy on easy off I-24. Two big rig friendly gas stations at exit. The interstate is across the water so some road noise but not bad. 
Bath houses are good. Wish the update included new fixtures in the showers. But they were clean. $39 for one night. Sites are gravel, we were in site 30. I needed to level one side. 

This is a nice park and it’s getting lots of needed upgrades. We always stay over night when traveling here. They are working on more sites and some are not level. 
We stayed in 39 and it was level enough for a 30ft. Electric and water. Has a dump station. 
Beautiful area. 
Go see ruby falls if you can. 

Marion County Park is conveniently off I-24, next to the Nickajack Lake, near the Tennessee River main channel. Pretty views. There is a campground office with a convenient store of essential items and some food items for purchase, including fresh eggs! Lady attendant was very friendly and helpful. I noticed a couple of campground hosts riding in 4-wheelers policing the area several times while we were there. There are three loops with gravel-based sites, all arrayed along the waterfront. Few of them appear level; in site 50 we had to move our 30' Class A three times before the leveling system would get close to level (off 1.5 degrees), and then the front wheels were off the ground by 5 inches! It is a county park, with mostly local or regional guests, mostly of TT campers with extra stuff like boats, etc. There were many tent sites filled with guests. Being Memorial Day weekend, the park was full of camper families - grandparents, parents, kids, dogs, all having a good time. Not fancy, but a very good Value for $23/night. Noted: The park has a major expansion or improvement in the process to add many more sites along the lake.

We needed a 1 night stopover on our way home from FL.  Called ahead and we're assigned site 43.  The park office closes at 4 (at least in April), and we were arriving at 5:30, but we were told there'd be a packet of info for us at the office and to leave cash or a check in the envelope at the drop box.  

The dump station is in the other campground loop.  Go right at the camp office, then left up the hill towards the restrooms.  The signage is poor.

There's a lot of highway noise here.  We were only here 1 night, so didn't walk around or explore the area.  Looks like they're doing a lot of expansion.

Peaceful little spot for an overnight. Electric and water with a dump station. Good bath house and nice hiking trail around the lake.

There are two section now within campground old and now New Section near main entrance  campground. we stayed at site #45 rates from $17.00 to $20.00 overnight water and electric only, shower house at older park only, dump station the camping attended personal was helpful in getting a waterfront camping site on Tennessee River. Campgrounds is located on a pencilya. Marion County Campgrounds 9696 US Hwy 41, Jasper, TN 37347  (423) 942-6653  (17 miles from Chattanooga, Tenn approximately 30 minutes.) Little to no TV antenna reception, cellular service T-MOBILE,  AT&T,  VERIZON 3-4 bars. Gas Stations within 5 miles,  restaurants in downtown Jasper, Wal-Mart, Dollar tree, Banks, Hardware approximately 20 minutes drive from campground. 

Great view - trees are too low for any larger RV’s - we are 12’6” and scrapped several trees.

Good for a overnight stop , it's very noisy  as the interstate is across the lake . Easy to get into , we got a pull thru so we didnt have to unhook  toad.   For 20 dollar to overnight with power and water , we would use it agian .  

Arrived to overflowing trash at site 20 and 1000 cigarette butts on the ground. They told us trash would be picked up the next day. Never happened. 3 days of nasty, smelly, overflowing animal and fly ridden trash (picture uploaded). Showers looked like they had never been cleaned with mold in walls, chunks of hair and cigarette butts (women’s), along with 1000 spiders (pictures also uploaded). I get it, I only paid $20, but come on, have some decency to get trash out and keep bathrooms clean. To top it off, there is no website with camping info, bathroom codes or Check out times and I was not given anything at check-in other than a receipt with 4 numbers written on it that I later learned was the bathroom code. The camping space was large so we popped the tent up for our autistic adult son and teenage son to enjoy some “real” camping. We were then told that no tents were allowed on RV spots. Okay, fine, but at least have rules given out to campers so we know ahead of time. My autistic son decided to go and get a tent site with his own money ($15 dry camping, outrageous considering the spot they gave them was too rocky for a big tent). So we asked if he could move to a different site, they were adamant that he stay in the site he picked and would not move him. They had lots of open spaces. They then proceeded to park next to us to make sure we took down the tent. All of that made my autistic son uncomfortable, which I don’t blame him one bit, and he asked to go back home. I would not stay here again or recommend to others. 

Stayed here for two nights going from MI to FL. Site 21 was a gravel back in that accommodated our 40ft fifth wheel nicely. Would not be able to leave the truck hitched up though. Lake view was wonderful with the mountains in the background. Lake was 40ish feet from the back of the camper.  Some of the middle pull though sites would be difficult to get a 40ft rig turned into. 

We arrived at night and were able to back in without having to unhook. We are using as one night stop.We woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains.  Nice bathhouse if you need it. Pay as you leave .

Beautiful site right on the Tennessee River.  $20 per day.  Water and electric at the site, plus a dump station.  Close to a Jasper, TN for a Walmart.  Only issue is the road noice from the highway on the other side of the river.

We stopped here for a night and made reservations on the fly. We called at 6:30pm and were told there would be a list of available spots and a drop box for fees. We got in the spot pretty easily and woke up to the most gorgeous view over the water! Cant wait to stop for a couple days on our way back home and explore. Friendly people, very clean bathrooms and showers, great hookups, and quiet!

Very nice park with sites close to the water. Wonderful water and mountain vistas. Some traffic noise but not too bad. 

Very large spaces, on the water with a super nice staff. Location very close to I-24. Would have received 5 stars if they had sewer and WiFi. We will be back

Beautiful, big, level sites.  Grass, fire pits good people! But lotsa road noise 🙄

We were nervous coming in with $20 a night rate but we were were surprised of how nice the views and playground were. This was great for an overnight stay the only reason for 4 stars is no picnic table and no sewer hookups but they did have a dump station. 

Awesome deal for a waterfront site. Just off interstate, will stop again when passing through. Clean. 

Nice little park, reasonably priced 18.00 for a pull thru with electric and water for ONP. Good sized lake, nice staff.

We stayed one night. Water/electric. Fantastic water views. In process of building bathhouse. Sites not level. County manager very helpful. Price good. Close to Chattanooga.

Great campground. Sites on lake have minimal to no trees for shade. Non-lake sites have shade trees. Clean, large bathrooms but old. They are in the process of building a new bathhouse in rv area. Don’t sell firewood or ice but gas station close by. Very friendly staff. Very nice views. 

Great Campground. The staff was friendly, easy to work with  and helpful.  We will be back to stay again. 

Very nice, clean comfortable TVA campground managed by the County.  Very friendly people.  Did a one night stay on our way north in a pull through with a view of the river.  Good hard pack gravel roads and pads.  Only had 30 Amps at our site #30, don't know if other sites have 50 or not.  Did not use any facilities.    

Close to hwy, easy to get to, we just stopped in and luckily they had a spot for us (53’ MH + T). Gravel back ins along the edges and pull thrus in the middle. Beautiful trees/mountains/lake views.

Lots of upgrades coming.  New bath house and wifi by summer 2019.  Mack is a super friendly park manager.  Some highway noise from I-24.

We stayed one night here and absolutely loved it. The sites are great the area is clean and the view is beautiful!  Mac the GM is very accommodating and runs a great outfit there. Highly recommend. 

I was just passing through and decided to spend the night here.  It's very nice for the price.   I stayed in spot 33 which is a pull through with a nice lake view.   Electric and water.   

We stayed one night. We were in a back in gravel spot on the lake. It was nice. We had water and electric. We couldn't hear the I-24 traffic. It cost $20. Will stay here again when in the area.

Good place to stay overnight  . Price right. Dogs are allowed which is ok but dog poop everywhere.  People should clean up after them!

Awful noise from nearby I-24.  Some pull through spots. Gravel & grass. Nice size lots next to the water. Stayed just overnight in a 33ft travel trailer.   $20
