Little America RV Park

Convenient to Freeway.  Level sites, Bad, as in no, signs for directions.   Overpriced for sure.  Most expensive stop on a 18 day trip.  May keep us from stopping there again.

We spent two nights at Little America RV Park in August 2023.  We broke down on the interstate nearby and got  in on 3 wheels.  Had to wait 2 days for parts.  Registration was at the hotel desk and they were GREAT!  We showed up about 9:00PM begging for a site.  They had a pull through and escorted us there.  After finding out about the parts, we called back to extend our stay and they just handled it.  Nice park, good utilities, access to all the hotel amenities.  We will stay here again as a planned stop.

Clean. Level sites. New looking. Well kept.  Pool very nice.. Rv park in back of property fortunately. This is extremely busy place with the gas station, convenience store, truck stop, fire dept, hotel, plus park. Billboard advertisements were accurate. Would stay here again. 

Great place right off the highway. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean bathroom and showers in fact they were old motel rooms so you have plenty of space and privacy. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Great wings and steak. Had breakfast at Grill the next morning and took on of their ice creams to go. The only downside was the road and trucker noise. 

It was a little expensive for the night.  But the property has so much to do.  There is a playground, basketball court, corn hole, heated outdoor pool, lounge/restuarant, pool tables, showers, full hook ups, level sites, and is well kept and clean.  You check in at the hotel lobby.  They have someone drive you to your spot and give you a map and layout of the property.  They have a 24 hour gas station and grill as well.  I bought some pretty earings there.  They will charge you 5 bucks extra if you have a pet.  Because people don't pick up after their animals.  So if you are one of those people that's your bad.  I picked up after my dogs and someone elses.  Maybe they will take the fee away if more people do that.  Overall I would stay again.  It was fun.

As a previous reviewer said, the showers are old motel rooms. But how great to have a spic and span super clean motel shower with unlimited hot water, great water pressure and a heated, dry, private room to leave your clothes and get dressed. Worked for me! Sites are gravel, half are pull through ($10 extra!?). We needed a place to wait out some bad weather and this worked just fine. We also walked over to the hotel in the morning for the free coffee so appreciated that too. 

This is my review of Little America RV Park in the Little America Truck Stop in Little America, Wyoming where we stayed over night in April 8th on I-80. We just completed a cross country RV trip in our 30’ class A towing a Jeep and stayed at a variety of campgrounds/RV parks. 

I would NOT recommend Little America RV park that was opened last year on I-80.  There are multiple better, less expensive options within 20 miles.  They have almost doubled their rates from last fall (2022)

Little America is mainly a truck stop, motel and diner with a ton of billboards advertising their amenities. One of the billboards advertised $39 RV spaces…in smaller print it said, ” in September“.  We called from the road (on April 8th) as it had been a very long travel day and into the night. The reservation person quoted my wife $69 for the night and said it was their last spot. our space was over $77 with tax. They also made us sign a pet waiver because we’re traveling with a small dog (25lbs) that said they were going to charge an additional $5 + tax, ultimately waived.  We also discovered that other than 3 long term trailers, we were the ONLY RV in the entire park. 

There are approximately 45 total sites in the park, about half are pull throughs. The roads and sites are all gravel. They have 30/50 amp hook ups, water, sewer and open wifi (not password protected). The pull through suites are long enough to pull in and not unhook, The bathrooms are key card entry old motel rooms where they just took out the beds so you can use the shower, sink & toilet. The bathrooms were not in the RV park. Some of the sites back up to the semi truck parking and can be noisy. 

When we were there half the park was not open due to snow coverage. The sites that were open had not been completely cleared of snow and there was a lot of mud in the site and on the roads. Wyoming is windy all year and in the summer these sites will probably get real dusty. Our RV and Jeep got muddy on the outside and inside. 

There is plenty of available free parking space along the front of the property for an overnight stay. Way over priced for the service and facilities provided.

Little America is one of our favorite spots to stop on I-80 and their NEW RV park makes for a great 1-2 overnight stay.  Nice level paved spots.  Decent room between sites.  The gas/convenience store and eatery is a plus.  We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel bar.  Will be great as it matures.  Close to the semi parking so you will hear generators thru the night.

For Dog Owners… sadly there is no grass in the RV area.  As in ZERO!  For our dogs this was not good as they refused to go to the bathroom in the gravel and rocks.  Not good late at night.  HOWEVER…Little America has an awesome, very plush and expansive grassy area in the front of the property that our dogs LOVED!  For anyone traveling thru western Nebraska, Wyoming and eastern Utah this is just about the ONLY area we found with real grass free of stickers or harsh/dry weeds.  Kudos to Little America in investing in grass and landscaping!  Our dogs thank you! 

Wide, level, gravel sites with a picnic table and full hookups  Fairly quiet with little freeway noise but the rumble of all the semis idling next door is apparent.  Price includes shower facilities and use of the pool.
