Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area / Hillman Ferry

Tried to cancel my reservation due to last minute changes, but couldn't get ahold of ANYONE after several phone attempts. "please call back in 5 minutes". That's as close to talking to someone as I ever got. When I tried to leave a message it said the mailbox is full! The website is TERRIBLE! Cannot navigate to YOUR reservation. But you can make a new one very easily!!! GO FIGURE!!! I will never deal with these non responsive people again!

If you like to ride around all day on golf carts then this is the place for you!  Constantly, all day long,  that's all people do here!  This place is HUGE and no privacy between sites at all.  A small green space but everyone walks through it to get to the bathrooms.  A small camp store and 1 washer 1 dryer ($1.50 each) at the bath house.  We would not return just because it's so big and it's full all the time and too many golf carts!

Absolutely amazing!  Over 390 sites but we never felt crowded. We stayed in C67 which had a wonderful water view. Nice sites. Definitely make this an annual  stop. 

We stayed here the first weekend in May 2020 and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The hosts were very friendly and even loaned us a charcoal grill at no charge because we had left ours at home. My kids loved the disc golf  and mini golf, there was plenty to do and the pull through spots were easy to get into. I really have no complaints at all, the trip was just what our family needed.

Neat, clean, friendly staff and right on KY Lake. Activities for the kids on most Holidays and not too far from local eateries. 

I had a great time with my 4-day stay rent a golf cart went fishing great place pretty crowded lots of local people also went to the famous B 43 Bigfoot sighting campsite.

Sites have a good space between them and everything you would need. Has a good family atmosphere and no craziness. Access to water and local attractions.

Add the kids play area and a nice little Camp store. Sites we're not difficult to get into even with a large rig.

Prices we're good and definitely felt like we got our money's worth.

CG is OK. Some sites can be very convoluted or oddly shaped making it difficult to get to water and electric. Bathhouses were very nice. Senior Pass gets you $6 discount (50% of a basic site).

Ok for FS camp ground. very large camp ground, many loops. some with different levels of hook ups. Senior discount only on basic sites, not on sites with hook ups.
Many, many campgrounds in this area.

This is the nicest campground! It's a big place with 374 sites, 2 boat ramps and a beach. You're not crowded in next to each other. Variety of sites from tent to full hook ups. We will definitely be back!

Just spent a week there with friends, many things to do in The Land Between the Lakes area. We tried to book for next year but can only book 6 months out. We are going back for sure 

Beautiful Federal park. Really nicely maintained. Kind and welcoming staff. Nice camp sights with concrete picnic table and benches and fire pit on gravel. No cable. Limited wifi service. Electric water and dump sites available. Individual shower bays with locks. Very clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were a 4. Clean, private also well maintained. washer dryer available though we did not use. Nice store with basics. Small playground. Would highly recommend.
