King Phillips Campground

I had high hopes for this campground because of other reviews. I made the reservation 7 months in advance. We were given 2 site choices on check in, both of which were mediocre at best. Our site was dirt and dirty, full of roots (which was a huge tripping issue) uphill sewer and next to the playground.  I love a treed site but this was so dark it felt like dusk in the middle of the day. We had this “lovely” site for 6 nights.  Motorized golf carts driving around and around in the evening made for a noisy stay also.  I’d pay more and go elsewhere.

Lovely campground. Lots of sights nearby.

We stayed here three nights (A17) and had zero issues. Took advantage of their fall special and enjoyed our stay immensely. 

We liked that it was very close to the bike trail to town. We rode our electric bikes to town and could get there quicker than our friends in their car. That was the positive. 
The negatives: some seasonal sites were a bit junky, the layout of the park was weird with some roads dead-ending. It was definitely planned out when campers were small. Some sites were very hard to get into and they don’t seem to let you pick your own site. It’s a good thing my husband is a farmer or we would have had real problems getting in our site. He backed in our neighbors trailer too as they were having problems. 
We might stay again just for the convenience of the bike trail

We stayed here during the adirondack nationals car show the park was full but quiet at night (was road noise from hotrods on road but the whole town was kinda nutty that weekend) was a nice place to stay would repeat

We stayed for a week and even though there were lots of empty spot in amongst the trees we were parked in the entry way next to a 1/2 empty pool that was closed and spawning bugs. Not impressed with park.  Internet was spotty, not close to anything.   

Many seasonal rentals who bring all their junk with them.  It was nice that it was near the bike path.

I used their on line reservation request and after several hours didn't get a response, so I called, got voicemail and left my name, number and message for when we were looking for a campsite.  But still no response all day. Not sure what the deal is, but others in the area provided online reservations  (not requests) with instant confirmation. We're staying with one of them. 

I enjoyed my stay. Pretty quite campground a nice pool nice bath houses. A large general store. Right on the bike path to Lake George. Plenty of hiking opportunity near by. Good place stay to visit many lower Adirondack attractions.

Went with a group of 5 trailers . Place had nice showers  small game room horse shoe pit and half a basketball quart
