Jasper Gates Resort & RV

Great Camp Ground sites had gravel and were level. 

The sites are well spaced, shady, and like a campground should be. Close to Jasper natl park and easy access to Hinton. Rates were $50 USD including tax. Lots of scenery bathrooms and showers were clean. 

Nice location and both the park and facilities were clean. The road to the site was navigable as far as tree clearance but there is a small wooden hump bridge across the road. I had to zig zag over it so as not to crush the bottom of my door.  
The site (29) was seriously nose down and has a hump at the departure end just waiting to scrape your hitch.

This is no resort.  The place has nice cabins out front and calls it a resort and campground.  Well, the campground in the back is awful.  Run down.  Nothing is level.  No water pressure.  No laundry.  The only coin laundry in Hinton is terrible.  We had to use the services at a hotel.  I talked to the locals who said that the KOA nearby has a good laundry and is far superior to this place.  Way overpriced.

I wanted so much to like this RV Park because it’s so nice. But with our 40 ft motor home there were no level spots. They tried to work with us and were very nice. But, when we couldn’t get level they refunded our money and we moved in. It’s a very nice place and the people are nice. They really need to work on gettin sites more level for the bigger rigs.

We thought it was great. We have a 38 foot 5th wheel and were very pleased. I suspect the negative reviews were from tenters, and yes when it rains it is wet! Good gravel roads and rv pads. 

This place needs some serious ground maintenance.  A lot of the back in sites are muddy and the whole place is nothing but overgrown weeds and I doubt they've done any mowing in weeks.  If you make a reservation,  request a pull through... those have a little gravel on the dirt.   If raining,  avoid this place since it will probably turn into a big mud pit.  $47.00 for a site with only electric and mud. 

Large shaded park, but unfortunately a bit muddy if it rains.

a trifle expensive for what you get.
