Hutchinson Walmart Supercenter

Called and was informed we could stay overnight! Walmart informed us to parked on north side. Walmart is well stocked and parking lot is big and level. Parking lot music plays all night which isn’t bad however you will hear very loud trains all night long. So loud, and often throughout the night which made for a difficult sleep. 

It’s a Walmart parking lot! But we felt safe.

Per acting Customer Service Manager. No signs in the parking lot.  "Better to ask forgiveness than permission" at this one apparently. 

Called to inquire on overnight parking.  Was told it was fine but to just please park between gas station and garden center.  There was plenty of spaces.  No other campers and a couple of trucks which left.  One truck behind us for the night.  We shopped as usual.  Train whistles, yes, at 3 AM, 5 AM, 7&8 AM.  Just part of the country side and America.  Just rolled over and went back to sleep.  Thank you Walmart for allowing travelers to Boondock!  The Murphy’s station had the BEST fuel prices we have seen!  50 cents a gallon less than on the highway stations!  Store was clean,  very nice employees and clean parking lot.  Also prairie dogs on the grass for entertainment.

There is a large, flat parking lot that was well lit.  It was busy when we arrived at 9 pm but was quiet overnight.

Multiple train whistles woke us up early.

Safe, clean, level, quiet, convenient—everything I want.
