HTR Door County Campground and RV Resort

The campground is quiet, and very wooded and shady…so nice. Everything looked well maintained, I even did laundry. It’s conveniently located between Egg Harbor and FishCamp, so that was nice.
But…..there is a lot of road noise. It gets less late at night, but starts again really early. Be prepared. Maybe not so bad in the back.
Also, the cost was high, Thursday and Friday nites, $181.00. Ouch. 

I found the campground to be very nice, despite the comments from seasonals who object to new ownership not permitting RV's to stay on site over winter.  The grounds were well kept.  The loop closest to the golf course had rustic back in sites and gravel covered pull throughs that had bushes which offered privacy.  Further back was the loop that had concrete pads.  Dispursed yet further away were other sites that were even more woodsy.  Pool was closed for the season.  Laundry and bathrooms could use updating and a good cleaning but were adequate.  They had a nice game/TV room.  Except for a handful of sites by the road it was quiet.  Good water pressure and WiFi was adequate before the weekend warriors arrived.  Each site had a nice fire ring and table.  Our site 33 required "milking" the sewer hose uphill, but the site itself was level.

New ownership,  a big corporate company, has completely negated ALL previous praises about the campground. Everything that people loved (clean bathrooms, lawn and property landscaping, friendly staff, fantastic prices) are all gone. Nothing is kept up like it had been in the past and the front office is less than friendly or welcoming.  What a disappointment.  After 10 years of staying here we will not be returning anymore.

Have been coming here for 10 years and will not ever be returning since new management bought the park.  Prices have increased about 30% and amenities and services have decreased.  

This park was bought out by a big Corp. They placed a management company in, he is rude and arbitrarily adds costs. The maintenence is not being done, grass hasn't been cut in the weeks we been here. So sad it was such a nice park.  Oh and prices went up more than double. 

The company that bought Egg Harbor has definitely let this campground go! The previous owners did a fabulous job but that is in the past! Do not stay here, prices have doubled.

Excellent location and amenities. Quiet level. Would come here again

Great location, great staff.  We stayed in the section with concrete pads.  Nice site, roomy, grass surrounds the pads.  Only one complaint (in my case significant)…not handicap friendly.  Bathrooms & showers are NOT handicap accessible.  Accessing was very difficult. Using shower was very difficult.  

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. They met us as soon as we pulled in and led us to our site.  They even helped us into our site.   It was full but you didn’t have a lot of noise or kids running around.  Was also very close to Fish Creek and other areas in Door County.

Large campground in central Door County close to every attraction and shopping.

Executive sites have concrete pads, rest of sites are gravel and dirt. Stable power and WiFi but weak cell reception. No cable.

Owners are great people and very accommodating. Grounds are clean and quiet. No problem getting around with a 40’ 5th wheel.

We stayed here over the 4th of July. This is a well run clean safe place to stay. Sites are level with well placed hook ups. The owners are super nice as was all the staff

Over all ok but don't need any thing after 6pm as they close and lock the doors. Could not even get fire wood for the night.

This park is close to several different towns in Door County. (Egg Harbor is small, free concerts on Thurs nights.) RV Park has half woods, and half open field sites. Sites are large, with fire pits, tables. Nicely landscaped.
