Horseshoe Cove RV Resort (55+)

Management does not care about anything after they have your money. Had 2 electric bikes stolen. There are holes in the fence around the park that they won’t fix. This is not the only year bikes have been stolen. They do have 2 cameras up but they don’t work according to a worker. Security gates are left open at night. Looking for a new campground

Just spent a month a Sun RV's Horseshoe Cove in Bradenton FL.  On the good side – everyone was very friendly.  Pool was beautiful and warmly heated all the time.  Residents have organized a nice array of activities, which are completely open to us transients.  In suburban area near shopping & restaurants.

On the other side – wifi was close to No-fi.  They advertised cable tv access which didn't exist.  They say grassy sites – which is ½ weeds & ½ sand; no grass.  Full-hookups are only 30 AMP – which is kind of antique-ish.  I'd guess the park is 30+ years old, some things haven't been updated.  Concrete patio was broken in 4 places.  You're packed in like sardines.

The fee was $1600/month + electricity.  Which we learned is on the high side for the area. 

Great place. Other than no hot water in shower house. Will stay again. 

Most residents are great and very friendly.  
The management doesn't seem to care about taking care of all people, only a select few who are board members.  
You can find a better place for less money and the same amenities somewhere else and more convenient to area attractions.

A great park with mostly snow birds or full timers and some additional RV pull through spaces. Very clean and quiet. We stayed 4 nights and would definitely stay again. 

Typical Florida retirement community with many amenities.  Long haul to the beaches.  We met many new neighbors and bonded with some of them.  We might return. 

We stay here in our 34 ft 5th wheel for 3 mos that turned into 6 mos as we sold home up north and follow my job here.
We found the locals very friendly and during in - season lots of activities.
We use pool and spa 4-6 nights a week very nice. Saw much wildlife on island -manatee in river up close with young. Short stay section of park was always pretty full during season.
We had a great time here.

stayed two nights, pool was closed and they told us after we checked in and paid.  WiFi and cable was extra.  paved pads and slight slope so wasn't to hard to level.  nice little island to walk and fish.  on two busy roads  and close to 75. won't stay again. stayed in a motorhome.
