Georgia Rest Area #35 (Southbound)

Stopped here for 8 hours.  It was quiet and safe.  I suspect the no overnight parking is only enforced for troublemakers.  The grounds and facilities were very clean.  

The buildings and grounds were very clean with plenty of trash cans, picnic pavilions and bathroom stalls! If you need a quick stop, or even a longer rest, you could comfortably spend a few hours here. No overnight parking, although we did see a dump station, didn’t use it though. 

This rest area is wonderful. We stayed one night and when we woke in the morning there was plenty of grassy areas for my dog to run and play. The restrooms are very clean and the place is super quiet.

Is posted overnight parking prohibited but there were plenty of semis which spent the night.  Our rig is a39’ super C with toad and we pulled in at 7 and left at 7.  There was plenty of truck/rv activity and we felt safe.  Yes noise can be an issue.  RVs for the love of Pete don’t bump your slides and stairs out at these places.

Sad that you are not suppose to stay here overnights, but I guess you could take a “nap”

Ok, so it says you can’t stay overnight.  It was late afternoon and I just wanted to dump. I think as long as you park, rest and go, you’ll probably be ok.  An RV will attract attention.  At the end of the day, if you need to rest, this is the place you do that, so don’t be too paranoid.  

The dump is open.  

There is a water spigot that is probably just meant to spray down the area when you are finished.  I say that because the spigot is placed about 7 feet high and the water pressure is very low, like a gallon a minute.  

I was able to reach up and connect a hose and also place a weight on the odd handle to turn it on.  Releasing the spring loaded handle will shut the water off.  I tried for about 30 minutes to use the water for the black tank rinse, but there is not enough pressure to put much if any in there.  

ON the bright side, you can dump here.  ON the not so bright side is you aren’t going to top off your water or clean out your black tank here.

Dump is open,  but no potable water. Cannot attach hose to water spigot. 
Test area is beautifully kept up, lots of cement picnic tables,  lots of parking. 

Clean bathrooms, good pet area. Vending machines. Dump station at exit, looks brand new. 

Crowded but facilities clean.. good sleep.... Thank you Georgia !
