Fremont Indian State Park / Castle Rock Campground

This campground is fantastic! The camp host and the ranger were both very friendly and helpful!  The surrounding area is gorgeous with many trails to explore! 😍 The prices are decent also. $20 a night for a single site and I think $30 for a double site. $35 a night to camp in a Teepee! The museum is free to campers! We loved it and would like to come again!

Wonderful rock formations.  Nice camp sites.  Everything clean.  No elec.  pump water.  Restrooms.  Lots of trees and a stream. Great relax-place.  This year noticed full Verizon signal for phone and internet!  Bonus!

This is a wonderful place to camp.  Rustic, but gorgeous and roomy.  Very large private sites.  $15.  Convenient water and restrooms.  No elec.  don’t miss the visitor center down the road and be sure and take the short walks to see Indian pictographs.  great camp host, Bill, is like a travel guide!  (The other campground connected with this state park is near the visitor center and has elec, but is not as nice if you like space and privacy.  )The views from Castle Rock campground are amazing.  Also, for $30 a night you can rent an actual teepee on 2 of the campsites.  They have a floor in them and would sleep at least6 people.  Kids would love it.

Sevier, UT - Fremont Indian State Park
This is a beautiful state park.  We stayed at the Castle Rock Campground in site 14 for 2 nights in early June 2018.  The site was primitive but had a lovely view of the castle rocks and privacy between sites.  It was very quiet. Across the road was a source for potable water and the camp host sold firewood.  There were bathrooms close by but we did not check them out. Cost was $18 per day.  Verizon cell service was good. OTA digital TV found nothing.

The Sam Stowe campground has full hookups.... water, electric and sewer at each site. Bathrooms and shower house were impressively clean(pay showers). Beautiful views, petroglyphs within campsite. Extremely friendly and resourceful camp host. Stayed two nights, small museum but very informative. Would definitely stay again !!!

This campground is set up for A TV users. That said we stayed 2 nights in late spring when it was still cold and the campground was almost empty.

The sites are large, well spaced and most are shaded. There is water available, just not at the site. Bathroom, with running water was clean.

The one mile, dirt access road was also well maintained. 

Views are great, museum staff very helpful and friendly.
