Fort Robinson State Park

We stayed at Fort Robinson State Park for two nights.  The site was concrete and level and was well-planned to make it easy to back in (spoken by someone who prefers pull-trough sites due to limited skill.)  FHU were well laid out for our rig.
Those of us who are not Nebraska residents must pay a $14.00 per day park permit fee on top of the camping fee.
As mentioned in other reviews, if you have pets be aware that there are goat head thorns throughout the camping area.  Our four pugs missed most of them but one found a few in her paws.

This is a lovely FHU campground, staff is very accommodating, lots of shade and level sites.  Great Verizon coverage (almost faster than at home).  

DOWN SIDE is there is ALOT of Goat Thorn weeds and very little grass.  Our dogs came in several times with goat thorns in their paws and not many places for them to do their business without stepping in more thorns.  

Got in the same day for upgrade on hookups.   Nice staff

Overnighting on way to Custer SP. Was a walkup reservation at front desk. FHUs  Site was assigned but staff said if you want to change, come back and let us know since not crowded. We did change sites in the inner part of Red Cloud Loop.

Sites are fabulous. Level back-in concrete pad with well organized utilities. Water hookup has backflow preventer, which another RVer showed me how to connect.

Stayed 4 nights in a 42ft 5th wheel. Redcloud loop, site #125, level concrete backin with FHU. long pad. Plenty of space between sites. This is in the new area that has full hookups, incl sewer, but does not have trees/shade. We are from out of state so we paid nightly rate ($35), plus out of state daily fee ($12).
Beautiful & historic park. Well maintained. So much to do. Stagecoach rides, horse back rides, jeep tours, tram tours. Pool. Museums. Restaurant on site, open breakfast, lunch & dinner. Playhouse offers different plays during the week. Lots of trails. Rental cabins are restored officers quarters. 
When we arrived our site had tall grass, clearly had not been mowed in a while even though sites around us appeared mowed. Called office and within hour the grass had been mowed. 
Highly recommend this park. Great staff

Yes, the park is nice and there is a lot of activities in the area, but after process fees and the daily out-of-state fees this site cost me over $55 per night.  

RV sites fully paved some with full hook up. Our site didnt have much shade (121 Redcloud) and lots of sand burrs so no barefooting. But so much to do. Post playhouse has shows almost every night, trail rides, stagecoach ride, jeep tours, indoor pool, activity center with a store, bike rental, River tube rental, rental cabins are old Army Barracks so lots of room.

We were happy to drive up onto this park after seeing absolutely nothing for hours on our drive in. Plenty of nice trees for shade, horseback riding/carriage rides/wagon breakfasts & dinners/restaurant/pool($4 per child), rodeo’s on Friday nights at 8pm… and so much more. $25 plus NE state park fee ($8/day) worth it for the access to so many activities. Showers were average but pricey. 50cents for 3min.

Clean campground with paved level sites.

Very clean. We'll spaced. Best to call for reservations and any other info. They have slot sites that can't be reserved. They are available upon arrival. Take the chance it's worth it.

Weak WiFi & electric only kept it from being 5 star

This park is clean, well maintained with lots to do and a history buffs dream come true.  This is a jewel a little off the beaten path.  We would definitely stay here again.  They charge 50 cents for 3 minutes of shower time, no big deal for most folks but it keeps the riffraff out.  

What a great state park. Lots to do and see in the park and you can make great autotours outside the park.  If you have a horse take hete or hom with you. We did a lot of biclycing. Staye at a full hook up. Big sites with good aminities.  Everything in perfect condition.  No reception on antenna. AT&T Wi-Fi spotty. We will be back.

A gem. Lovely campsites. Great place to walk around or jog. As the other guy said, the bathrooms are dated but clean. The showers are plenty warm. We would go out of our way to stay again. 

Very nice and clean camp ground, level sites some with and some without shade, well spaced with grass in between. Full hook-up is available. Bathhouse is dated but very clean. Historic 1870's Calvary Army Fort with museums, horseback riding, it even has a buffalo herd.   Stayed at Ft Robinson in an RV and would definitely return.  Site Fee $20.00 with electricity plus $5.00 1 day park pass.
