East Ellijay Walmart Supercenter

Called several days ahead and was told yes, you can park up to 24 hours. When we arrived, we saw signs that said no overnight RV or truck parking. Went in to customer service and asked and was told that those signs are fairly new and it's up to the night manager to allow it and he doesn't start until 8:30 so come back then and we'll ask him. Not willing to wait around until 8:30 since we didn't have a backup if he said no, we requested a Harvest Host up the road and were able to stay there. 

Intended to stay in the lot, there were several semis parked. As soon as I got to the lot, a street sweeper like truck started tail gating me while I drove through the lot.  He followed me until I drove out of the Wal Mart parking. I wasn't sure what just had happened. Next thing I know he pulls along side and starts yelling at me, accusing me of following him, then drives off. After that strange encounter I decided to stay at the hotel down the street.   

I’m here right now. About 10 Semis and five campers spending the night.

When I called, the manager was extremely nice and said I was welcome to overnight in the parking lot. As noted in another review, the manager asked that I park on the outdoor center side of the parking lot.  I didn't find it any noisier than most similar parking lots.  The routine noises of people talking, truck noises, etc. don:t bother me if I decide to stay in a parking lot.  I actually always have a window and/or the vent open so that I can hear why might be going on!  Be aware of your surroundings.  Also, at this location, there are multiple choices of restaurants in case someone wants to walk to them.  A few shops also, I think.

Stopped for the night talked too the manager on duty he said it was alright to stay the night. He did tell me the signs that are posted for no overnight parking for RVs and trucks was mainly for trucks and RVers that had been spending more than one night and some 4 or 5 nights at a time. He thanked me for asking him first.

Needed a night while we waited to get into Carters Lake.  I called and MGR we could stay the night , to park by the trucks on the Garden Center side.  Would have been fine except this is the town hangout for young teenagers and we were surrounded by teenagers hangin out in the parking lot around us.  Store was nice and we stocked up on groceries and ate at the local restaurants within walking distance- Longhorns, Pueblo Mexican and Subway for coffee in the morning.  Fine for one night and it was nice of the MGR to let us stay despite signed that said no overnight parking.
