Driftwood Campground and RV Park

 I am a travel nurse and stayed here with my wife and dog. The owner Don is nice and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The park is nice and clean. The lots are kept clean and mowed. The shower and laundry facilities are nice and kept clean. The pool is maintained and clean. There are nice parks and walking paths nearby. The Mississippi River is across the street and has wonderful views. We totally recommend staying here. Thanks so much Don. 

Very nice and clean campground. The new owner(Don)has done a ton of improvements over the last two years. Lots of cement pads nice gravel and grassy areas on most sites. Fire ring provided and firewood for sale. Have stayed here just a few  nights and even 2 months one time. Very satisfied would highly recommend!  

We were exited to stay here based on reviews and photos. Planned on 3 nights to explore Quincy and Hannibal areas. This is an old KOA. Concrete pads were nice but narrow.  Wifi was ok dropped often. Cell service on Verizon was not good. We were in a row mostly with it appeared  with folks living there. The site next to us is literally outside our slide. They parked under our slide out! The next spot down (15' away) their dog was barking until they came home. There is no room between sites. Beware! We decided to leave the next morning, definitely not for us!

We had a very hard day of driving and called at the last minute to get a spot to sleep on our way to Georgia.  Extremely nice and helpful owners.  Beautiful park.  You can tell they care.  Looks like they are doing lots of work on it too.  Pool looks so clean.  Our site #44 is wonderful.  It is a back in on a very level concrete pad surrounded by trees.  It is up on the hill, but don't let that scare you.  Ask for this spot if you can!  We will not have time to enjoy walking around or using the amenities unfortunately, so I cannot comment on those.  That is the only reason I gave less than 5 stars.

Overall, though a bit overpriced, but nice park. While quiet and off the beaten path, it's only a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown Quincy. Level concrete pads on each site. Gravel roads in the campground, some severely rutted. What really makes this place charming is the owner/ manager, Denise. Despite in the throes of planning and executing her daughter's wedding, she was quite attentive, responsive and always in the best of spirits. Lifts you up just to talk with her. Was a tad disappointed there was no discount for military or seniors. Water, sewer, electric was fine. No cable, but plenty of local stations over the air. T- Mobile cell reception was fine, but wifi was nearly non-existent (see disclaimer on campground website). Nice walking trails at Banger Park across the street and a few hundred feet down the street at Parker Heights Park. Tiramisu and Thyme Square restaurants are a MUST in Quincy. A very welcoming pickleball group and his facilities at Moorman Park.

Nice clean campground. Level paved sites. Very quiet during the week. Denise is very nice and goes out of her way to be helpful. Pool is super clean but we were there too early in the season and it was cold. Not that our 5 year old cared though. If we're ever in the area, we'll definitely stay again. 

By the River but can’t see it. Three levels of campsites built into a hill. Not a ton of spots but just enough. Most with concrete pads. Kinda close together but we were on the end so only one neighbor. Pads not perfectly level but close. Fire rings. Nice aluminum picnic tables. Wood for sale $5. Area for tents. Swimming pool. Patio. Huge deck by barn. Laundry and bath facilities. Nicely maintained. Nice grassy areas. We didn’t have reservations but called on the evening we were driving in and she had a spot for us. Midweek so a bit easier to find a spot. It sounds like she gets busy on the weekends, like most campgrounds. We tried areas north and this was the best..plus with full hookups!

This is the second year in a row that we spent a month at Driftwood.  In fact, this year we are staying an extra week.  Due to Covid-19, the pool and shower houses are closed, but that is definitely no fault of the management.  The pads are concrete, level and have nice picnic tables.  The internet is spotty and much better at the office building.  We only have antenna for tv and it is spotty as well.  Next year we will be looking into satellite for our RV.  

Price is absolutely reasonable.  We paid $500 for the month ($480 for the month then $20 extra for paying with a credit card).  The extra six days we paid $17 per night to equal $102.

As long as we are able to travel, we will definitely be back every year for at least a month to visit family.  We love this place.   Great job, Denise in making this place so nice.  

Great little campground. Denise called us en route to say she would not be there upon arrival but had our spot marked for us.  Came by later and was super friendly.   Grounds are well maintained.  Bathrooms not open because of virus rules so can’t comment. Only rv park in town   Would definitely recommend. 

Denise met us and she was wonderful! Bathrooms are older but quite clean. Across the road from great parks and an island in the Mississippi River. Close to Quincy. Don’t worry about the trailer park on the way in, RV Park is lovely.
Cement pads are a plus! Wifi works great at the office building but not at the sites.
Would definitely stay here again!

Denise is very personable and friendly. She was out mowing at our arrival, she greeted us by name and lead us to our site on her mower. She told us to settle in and come up to register when we were ready.  Well maintained grounds and traffic noise is not bad. Across the street from a park with river access.

We went to Quincy to buy a 1964 Corvair for my girl. We pulled the car trailer with the coach and this is the only RV park in the area. Weather was horrible or we would have stayed longer. Nice little park with a gracious owner. It was a little noisy in the morning with the road traffic but it didn't ruin our stay. Well maintained park and the owner Denise works hard at keeping it that way. We will be back.

Stayed here about 5 times over the past 10+ years and the park just keeps getting better and better.  Denise has done a WONDERFUL job since she took ownership.  Great sites, excellent power and a friendly and helpful owner.  Couldn't be better!  And, even through the winter the park is open although I won't be staying there when it is below freezing.  My RV has wheels and will be a much warmer areas in the winter. 

We have stayed here on several weekends while our daughter was at Quincy university. The owner is fantastic!  Bathrooms/showers are very clean.  All sites are now full hookup and most are a nice long concrete pad for level parking!
