Downata Hot Springs RV Park

The rate was cheap enough, but there isn’t a dump station, the sites were built for old 16’ no slide campers. Not easy to back in to and some can’t be used if you have slides. Their is only 1 shower for the whole campground and the pool is closed Sundays and Thursdays. 
It’s great for large gatherings. Just don’t plan on much more than dry camping. 

We only wanted a one night stay, and it was wonderful. It is a great place to stay for a family reunion. There were many small groups gathered around each other sharing meals and children. Many people were playing volleyball and playing in the large sand pile. 
There were also large covered pavilions with tables etc. lots of shade trees. 
The rate for camping was very reasonable. But there is a charge for for extra activities. Like swimming and soaking. There was no dump site and no full hookups. They recommended going into the nearby town of Downey and there is a place at the fair grounds. I recommend going with empty black and gray water empty or low. Have fun 

The spaces are too close, but other than that it’s a nice park. Great area for families. It had large shade trees and other than a train it was quiet until the hoarded showed up to swim.

Nice park.  Lots of trees, beautiful views.  Awesome pool, only available on weekends, off season now.  Passport America  member.  Wouldn't want to be here in peak season, RV spaces too close for me.  Use to state parks with lots of room.  Still lots to do here.   Gave it 4 stars only because wifi not working.  Pleasant staff.

We found this place a few years ago and always come back every year. Tons of shade in the RV area and lots of activities for the kids. Water slides are fun. This is not a high end park by any means but if your looking for a relaxing inexpensive spot it fits the bill

We stayed here one night and went into the hot springs. The RV park is very sparse with trees really only on the perimeter. The hot springs/slide area was a little sketchy to say the least. The lifeguards were poorly trained and didn't seem to care about their job. There was a kid with a bloody nose allowed to continue to swim which was gross and a health/safety issue. the slides were poorly designed so that you weren't able to slide into the pool but had to scoot to the end. I wouldn't stay again
