Dead Horse Point State Park

Stayed at site 50, class A 36 ft with tow. Great state park, clean and well maintained.stayed at wingate which is the upper campground with wide open views of the sky and stars.The main restroom has four separate bathrooms a  mirror, sink and flush toilet. (Added picture)Others not so nice. The lower campground (Kayenta) has more privacy and shade. There is no water except water fountain in visitor center or if your a camp host.

LOVED staying here! electric only, but spacious sites, dark sky, quiet, remote. right in Dead Horse Pt St Park- close to overlook, Grand View Overlook  mesa arch for sunrise. site #5 had 2 tent sites as well as our RV pad.  would stay again!

This was an awesome place to stay before hitting up Canyonlands and Arches. The stargazing was unbelievable. Our kids were amazed by all of the shooting stars they found. There’s no water hookup so we just made sure to fill up at our previous stop. Definitely recommend. 

Great park, very attentive hosts. They jump on sites once vacated and clean them. Great views within park. Sites level and easy to get in and out of.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #1, an E only PT site for $52/night with fees included. Sites were all very clean as the camp hosts rake each one when people leave. Site #1 is lovely with a bit of a view over to the canyon. It is pretty private with trees between the rig and the road and no one really close. The picnic area is large and covered with shade from trees and a food storage box if staying there in a tent. Two tent pads are available – one open and one shaded. Roads and site were asphalt and it was easy to navigate. The bathrooms were all individual rooms and were very clean. No showers and no place to fill water tanks in the campground. There is a dump station on the way into Kayenta which is very convenient. It is a beautiful park with great hiking. It is a bit of a drive to Moab and Arches, but very doable. It is also very close to Canyonlands NP which has great hiking and vistas of the canyons. The camp hosts were very attentive and took great care of the place. If you can only do one hike there, I thought the west rim was the more interesting trail to take. I would definitely go back there even though it also feels on the expensive side for what you get. (basic economics in play…supply and demand let them charge more.)

Absolutely clean, well-maintained campground.  No water, but no big deal.  Plan ahead and bring your own.  Vault toilets only, I didn't use them so no opinion.  Each site is spaced far apart from the other sites.  Meal two-sided shelters with bolted down picnic tables at each site.   Just a beautiful place.  Good dump station.  

Great CG.  Carry the water you need with you.  A beautiful place.

Great place to stay for arches and canyonland.  50 amp available.  Clean roomy sites.  Must book way ahead of time!

Great state park. We stayed in the Wingate loop which seems pretty new.  Visitors center is very interesting and staff is wonderful. Thank you Becky.
Views from the overlook are incredible. Better than Grand Canyon IMO.

We stayed st Wingste.  The views and quiet are terrific. The views in the area are great. Even with our heavy 43’ toy hauler we got here and around just fine. 

Stayed at Kayenta campground for 4 nights in a 31 ft class C. Close to Canyonlands but 40 miles from Arches. Well maintained. Most sites will need some degree of leveling. Some quite a bit. Roads inside are narrow so unhook/ hook toad at the dump station. 1/4 mile walk. Nice restrooms. No water hook ups but there is a utility sink by the restrooms that has a hose bib hook up. Bring water jugs and a short hose (you didn't hear it from me!). Cell service (verizon) only 1 or 2 bars so no internet. Host during my stay was nice and helpful. Couldn't give it a 5 due to water and leveling issues. 

Just needed a water source to be a five star. We stayed at the Wingate Campground, really beautiful.

Fortunately we had reservations for two nights.  There's so much to see and do.  Breath-taking views here and at the nearby Canyonlands.  The sites are spacious and well-maintained.  There's enough of an elevation to have views of the sunrise and sunset.  They even had electrical hook-ups, but no water.  Put this on your bucket list!

Very nice but small park. Load up on drinking water in Moab beforehand.  No drinking water is available. Sites are well spaced. Electric is 50 amp.  Picnic tables are covered. Separate large tent pads at most with sites. 

 Be sure to get reservations. Several sites on the west have a gorgeous sunset view.  Would be a 5 star if drinking water was available.
