Dalton Walmart Supercenter

On 4/28/2021, arrived there around 6:00pm, super busy parking. In addition to that there were a couple of subjects drinking and smoking on the sidewalk.

We left to another Walmart about 40 miles from there.

Off the interstate too far. Very small parking lot in a less than plush area.  On a Monday night with loud noisy cars running through the parking lot till midnight. Lights really bright, no area for walking dogs and overall didn’t feel safe. Literally saw a drug transaction right outside our camper.  Should have left but it was too late. Did I mention used syringes laying on the small patch of grass there was when walking my dog!  I DON’T recommendthis Walmart!

Didn't call, just pulled in away from the store.  Shares a parking lot with strip mall stores so you can spread out. We have a camper van so it was just fine for us. Maybe a big rig would be a bit tight but there's another Walmart a few miles north, still Dalton, that's bigger and we had no problem staying there either. In fact there were a couple truckers and RVs up there.

We've been there several times, big lot, pretty quiet and level.  We prefer that one.

Edited again: we stayed at the Cracker Barrel too. Nice and quiet and seems like a safe neighborhood.  

Called to ask if they allow overnight parking. Gal asked how big our rig was. We have a 45’ fifth wheel. Didn’t even tell her how much extra length our truck added. We were told we couldn’t park overnight in something that long. Stopped there to think about it anyway as we were already en route. VERY busy lot and on the small side. Would have been miserable there anyway with the amount of traffic zipping in and out. Not super close to the interstate either. (4 miles down the road)

I know half the staff there through work, extremely kind and accommodating. Not the cleanest store, nor the quietest- train track and I-75 runs right next to it- but good for an overnight rest stop nonetheless.

Pulled in around 8pm asked at customer service if we could stay the night politely said yes. Stayed at end of lot 1 other smaller rv in lot nice stay close to interstate but with a/c didn't really notice

Stayed here 2 nights. We have a 45’ bus with truck in tow . Called ahead and a very helpful lady said overnight ok at top of their lot( uphill) but not but the Cato or McDonalds. So basically in the middle. We drove around the back of the store and found a great quiet spot on the side by semi delivery. Opposite of the garden center side. There was plenty of room to by the concrete wall to be out of the way. As a bonus there were 14 cats there that a lady comes around to feed everyday. We couldn’t get close enough to pet but enjoyed watching them and our leftovers were appreciated.

A little tight getting into the store, but lots of open space to park in the parking lot. train noise on one side, I75 on the other.  felt safe. woke up with 5 other over-nighters around me.
