Capulin RV Park & Camp

Sites short, gravel. So many trees couldn't get satellite.

Small but very well maintained park. all gravel with grassy areas for our pups. Host was super nice. Quiet even though right off highway. fit our 42 ft fifth wheel just fine, very level sites! . Fuel up before you get there. closet fuel is 10 miles away and expensive. Very close to Capulin Volcano which you can see from campground. Volcano was a fun visit. 

Great place to stop and visit Capulin Volcano. Very nice folks that run the place! They have full hook-ups and lots of space for dogs to play and run.

No frills park, nice owner. No Ota tv and no wifi. Definitely not a destination, ok to visit the volcano. Paid $50 a night. A little over priced with nothing there, not even a store nearby. 

Great place to overnight or stay and see Mt Capulin. Bathrooms with showers are immaculate. Small but friendly.

Nicest shower house and bathroom Ive been to! Sites are close together but the common area park with hammock and swing gives great place to relax and view Capulin. 5 miles to park entrance.

Called, no answer. Stopped by and a note on the door said “closed today”!  🤔. Went to Clayton and found much nicer place. 

They were closed today. The lady happened to be in the office and answered the phone.  This was our very 1st trip we were gonna stay in Texas and heard there was high winds coming.  So we decided to go a little farther to get north or the winds.  I told the lady she said inam so sorry but we close on Valentines day.  She told me some other places to check.  Then not even 5 mins later she calls me back and says I talked with the owner and he said come on in and we will get you settled for the night.  What a wonderful experience this has been.  So helpful,  so nice.  Would highly recommend this campground. 

I called a few times and left messages, after giving up and going somewhere else I get a call back 3 hrs later... when I tell her I got another park, she got VERY rude and yells only 1 person answering messages and she had 4.. WHAT, then she hung up on me... WOW..I will NOT recommend these people. 

Stayed 2 nights to take advantage of the volcano.  Clean campground and clean bathrooms.  The owner was very helpful and friendly.  Will stay again!

You can see the volcano from the camp.  The owners are very accommodating.

Spent one night and loved this little park. The owners were very friendly and even though it is a small park the owner led us to our site. The site was gravel, level and clean. The bathrooms were spotless. We were concerned about road noise but Hwy 87 was dead at night. We would definitely stay at this park again.

Don’t follow your GPS and turn at the traffic light. Enter off 2nd St.  Clean level sites. Pet corral fenced. Cable tv worked fine. Did not use WiFi or restrooms. Overnight stay for us. 

I called and the message on the phone said leave only ONE MESSAGE!!!  I'm Guessing they Don't Check Messages or they are closed or they don't need anymore business, it's been (4)  days and no return call!!!! 
Soooooo down the road we will go!!

Nice Park, clean and warm restrooms. Pet friendly easy in and easy out. Friendly hosts. Would stay again when we are back this way.

We stopped here to visit the volcano monument. This small campground was well maintained and clean. Nothing fancy, no tables at sites but water and electric were good and WIFI was strong. Bathrooms very clean. And the hosts are great people.

Called ahead in am and received a spot for our overnight stay.  Water and 50amp electric at my spot but full hookups are available. Dump station on site. Friendly staff made the check-in nice.  Had a local FMCA chapter having a rally so was pretty full, but they were a fun group.  Level hardpacked gravel sites. A small country store was just across the street. 

Have stayed here several times now on way out to Colorado and way back to Florida!  Gravel sites are level; small—no amenities to speak of but Michelle is great and bathrooms are clean.  Traveling in a 45 motorcoach with tow and there was plenty of room!

Great small park. Nice clean gravel drive. Exceptional bathhouse and very friendly staff. I wish we could stay longer but we were just passing through. Oh, and great water pressure! 

Repeat visit and still great!  Very convenient on our way back home; big dog area (not fenced though) friendly owners, gravel pads, great water pressure too!  Will stay again for sure!

Owners are terrific, sweet and helpful. Lots of beautiful biking roads there. Everything was spic and span. Very neat, tidy and beautiful views. Dog park was top notch. Very affordable 29$ per nite.

If you dont mind getting cussed out and treated like crap this is the place. Also turned my breakers off while we were gone. Food spoiled in fridge and cabinets. I was told they just purchased the place and its gone down hill ever since. The husband was nice but the lady..... well she wasn't 

Friendly owners. This is a small campground that was perfect for our overnight stay. We didn't get to explore the dormant volcano nearby because we had to stay hooked up due to a fault hydraulic lift on our 5er. Nice level all gravel sites. Good water pressure and steady power. Owners sell grass fed beef, so that's kinda neat. We'll definitely be back through as we explore the area over the next few years. 

Stopped here on our way to Texas this place is so clean compared to alot of Rv places. The owners are awesome. 

Overnighted here.  All the other reviews are accurate - this is the way RV parks should be managed and maintained.  There were even bathmats in the showers!  The bathrooms were spotless.  Good price too.

Really nice owners who live on site. Place is small, quiet, and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are really nice for a middle of no where RV park. (Be prepared for lots of Jesus art). We stayed for a night so we could go to the volcano on our way to Denver. Volcano is super cool!! 
Would definitely stay again. 

Stopped here for a night while traveling from Texas to Colorado. Nice level pull-through spaces on gravel. Hooks ups are all fairly new and very well maintained. The owners are as nice as they come. 

Great small RV park with just what you need. Hosts were suoer nice and OK with my somewhat late arrival. Bathrooms very nice and very clean.
Right off the road but noise was minimal.

We were traveling home from Colorado and needed a place for the night. This RV park is small but extremely nice. Very nice shower/restrooms, free wifi, clean and quiet. The owners are very nice. They also package their own beef and sell it. We brought some home. Directly across the road from Capulin  volcano mountain. 

What friendly people!! Nothing else around so we were glad to get a spot.  Directed to a nice flat wide spokesman.  Easy pull thru access.  Very clean bathrooms and great water pressure. Who knew there was a volcano in New Mexico??!!  Thank you and would stay again!!

Great little RV park. Restrooms and showers very clean. Owners on property and couldn't be more helpful. Only 3 miles from the Nat. Monument.  Sites are super level. Stay here again in a heart beat👍. 

Great people, good spot.  Take time to visit the Capulin Volcano Natl Monument.  Passport America is accepted.  Stayed in a 40' motorhome.
