Calumet County Park

Don't miss this quiet lovely gem. We only stayed one night but it was lovely. They do offer electricity and water. There is a dump station as you head in or out. Glad we stayed!

Nice campground less than 2 hours from home. No TV and poor cell reception. Most sites are not hard to get into and are well spaced. Electric only on most sites, but water is available to fill camper near the office. Website available for booking. 

We had 2 nights booked at the park.  When we arrived, we realized that we were put in the camping loop furthest from the showers, water, and dump site.  Our camping loop didn’t even have a water spicket located within it.  When we asked the girls at check-in about it….they said there was some in the next camping loop or up at the shower house.  At least 1/4 mile and would need to unhook.  She says “that’s not a problem, is it?”  We ended up eating our pre-paid feed and left.  If you choose to stay here….don’t stay in sites 1-16 unless water isn’t an issue for you.

Park is well cared for and pretty. Most spots are electric only. We were right on the water with wonderful sunsets. Cell coverage is good

We stayed on site 43. We could see the lake, but we were not right in the lake.  Some sites back right up to the lake, but there is no lake access from the campsites.  Our site was shaded and somewhat private and very buggy on our first night.  Pit toilet nearby gets plenty of use.  Flush toilets and bath house very clean, but only open between 8 am and 8 pm.  Showers are 50 cents for 3 minutes so come prepared with quarters.  Water temperature is reasonably warm. Dump station is $3 for campers on the honor system.  Despite being full most of the time we were there, the campground was pretty quiet.  We would stay again.

Stayed here several times one of my favorite  . Very large spaces in between sites .  

The sites here are nicely spaced, the view is lovely. There is lots of park area between two camping sections. Only electric hookups but water available near the registration building and a dump site (slightly hidden so you have to look!). 

We have stayed at this park a few times and like it.there is a nice selection of sites that look over the water facing west.
