Cabela's RV Park

No reservations made me nervous!  But there were lots of spaces and it never filled up.  We spent 2 nights there.  You just pick a spot and then pay.  We paid at the register in the store.  They have full hook up, electric only and tent sites.  Some of the sites have some drainage issues after rain.  Big puddles.  They have cable, but ours didn't work at all.  And not much over the antenna.  I did do laundry and it was $1.50.  Did not check out the bath house.  There is a Walmart down and road and an Applebee's and some fast food.  We did experience a rain storm the 1st night and a windstorm the 2nd night.  All in all, I would have no issue staying here again.

Drive in find an open spot. You can get a form out of box outside office fill out and pay or can go to Cabela's (short walk) and pay. 20% discount with Cabela's card. Form has code to bathrooms and laundry. We were in a pull thru with full hookups with a 42ft fifth wheel and Truck very level gravel with grass in-between sites. We did not have to unhook. places to eat within walking distance. Laundry has 4 washers and dryers. playground and lots of grassy areas. very quiet. There is a large truck/RV parking lot across the road, next to Cabela's that you can boondock in. Some sites are only water and electric. They also have tent sites and horse corrals. It is first come first serve, but did not fill up. 

Easy self check in, can choose your own spot, clean restrooms/shower, and excellent location. Can't reserve a spot, which made me nervous, but they had plenty of spots. Will stay here again.

Just off of I-80.  Reasonable price for a FHU pull thru.  The site length was good for the camper but wasn’t able to park my 20’ truck in the site.  Had to park in overflow.  Overall a good CG and would stay again. 

They don't take reservations so I was a bit worried about staying.  I called cabelas and was assured the campground never fills up.  Everything is self serve.  Sites are mostly all pullthru with FHU. A few backin sites without sewer but theres a dump as you leave. All have a nice grassy area and table.  Trees are various sizes but provide some shade.  Sites are fairly level. Tent area looks flat and grassy. The Cabelas is very close and they allow dogs inside.  There's a dunkin donuts/Baskin Robin's across the street!

Stayed two nights very clean place. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Reasonably priced. Level sites. WiFi was sporadic. 

Nice quiet park just off the freeway, and right by Cabela's.  FHU fairly level gravel sites.  Very close to Walmart and a hardware store, just in case you need to make a repair.  DQ right across the street and a Mexican restaurant.   

Clean, easy access, big rig friendly and food and shopping within walking from lake. Worth the stop for the night but could spend more time if had it. Would highly recommend. 

Self check-in or pay at the Bass Pro/Cabela’s nearby. Public wi-fi did not work but the park was clean and the sites were level gravel. Very convenient when we’re here to see family. Near Walmart and several fast food restaurants. Definitely will stay here again.

The Cabela's RV Park & Campground (CG) was easy to find and we arrived early in the afternoon. As this is a first-come-first-serve CG, we drove through until we found a site (19 with FHUs) we liked. As Cabela’s Club members we got a 20% discount so we walked over to Cabela’s and paid for our site in a regular checkout line. You can also pay by credit card, cash, or check at the little unmanned office on the backside of the restrooms, showers, and laundry building. The laundry room was very clean and very reasonably priced with four washers and four dryers. Along with the majority of the sites being FHU, there are also electric-only and tent sites. They have cable but it’s pretty much the same as the OTA channels. There’s WiFi and we got 4 bars on Verizon and T-Mobile. You are near the interstate so there is some road noise, but not as bad as expected. This is a great CG for a couple of days' stay.

Can walk to Cabela’s and Applebee’s.  Gravel pull thru with FHU. Some shade trees.   Off I-80 so some noise but very tolerable.  Would stay again if passing thru.

Nice pull through sites with full hookup. 30 and 50 amp electric. Sites are first come first serve. Would probably want to get there before 4pm to get a full hookup site. They do take Good Sam discount. If you have a Cabelas charge card you get 20% off. You park at your site then go to the store to pay. We stop every year on our way to Oregon and on our way home. They have cable and wifi. With the discount our price was under $40. We stayed 3 nights.

Easy access. Level some small trees with a little shade.  Nice bathroom and laundry.

Traveling through.  Arrived after campground office  closed.  No envelopes to enclosed form and $$. Would have reserved, but only first come first served. Difficult to find which spots were which. No map.  Level sites in campground. No info on how to get into bathroom building. Luckily pull through so could stay hooked up. 

We arrived at 5 pm and all the many pull thru sites with grass, full hook ups and picnic tables were taken.  We were told they have electric only which they do at the very back .  The sites are not really designated but it is just a large gravel parking area with electric hookup post every 15 feet or so.   We had to unhook the car but was ok for our 40 footer.  The pull thru area was much nicer.  $35 seemed like a lot for just electric honestly 

Great playground and area for kids. Easy check in. First come first serve. A little high in $$ as we didn't need sewer but that's all that was available. 

We arrived at Cabela’s about 830pm we went in and shopped and spoke with the mgr and service desk clerk about where to park. We have to put out our slide to use the bed and didn’t want to park with the semis. They said to park out in the parking lot by the expressway furthest from store. We chatted about the company and it’s history. (Very nice people) So we did. The store closed at 9pm as soon as the employees left the parking lot a security guard drove up to us and told us to leave. We told him we talked to the mgr. he said he doesn’t care we have to move.. the manager had no authority to tell us we could park there and to leave. With no recourse we left and went to Walmart.

Review

We were grateful for the cleanliness of the campground facilities and the amenities offered. There is a playground for the kids, clean shower houses/restrooms and a laundry facility. It is convenient to I-80.

First time experience but not the last time.  I like the self check in.  Little pricy even with discount. Shopping was fun.  Pizza hut has a great waitress that also works at Cabelas.  Every body so friendly.,

We go from Missouri to Oregon every summer. This is one of our regular stops on the way there and back. We usually stop for one night on our way to Oregon. On the way home we stay 2-3 nights. It is first come first serve campground. Usually we can find a full hookup  site before 4pm. We have gotten electric and water only after 8 pm. Clean bathrooms and showers. A lot of cable channels. And they do have wifi but I prefer to use my phone data. A lot of different restaurants and fast food in walking distance. We use are Cabelas credit card and get 20% discount. 

My husband and I decided to give this park a try for a night and ended up staying for 2.  Easy in and out.  Quiet except for some highway noise. (80).  It was $48.00 for full hookups per night.  First come, first serve.  You fill out a form at the little office once you pick your site.  They give a discount for Bass Pro Shop and Cabella rewards members.  We didn’t go but there was a Walmart about a mile down the road near the McDonalds.   Would stay again.  

Stay at Cabela’s each year for one night on our trek to Wy/MT. Convenient, clean great water pressure. Great Value. Will continue to use it for a one night stop over.

Overall Cabelas has a nice park great water pressure, nice wide spots. They claim cable BUT it only has 7 stations and 3 are HSN. Great if you want to see westerns (Grit).

Quiet, Level,  Wide, Pull thrus. 

Kind of pricey for a 1 night stop over even with discounts.  The shower/restrooms are closed due to the  Covid virus.  I won’t stay again just do to the price

Clean.  Plenty of space.  Level. No trees to speak of. Shower and restrooms were clean and well maintained.  We only spent one night but would go back. Quite  and close to the highway.  Watch out for the goose poop as you walk to one of the restaurants.

Campground works on first come basis and offers dry camp $23, electric only $34, and full hookup $46. Pull in, pick your spot, fill out payment card at entrance and put in drop box. Not much to do locally besides visit Cabelas. Walmart and restraunts are close by. Very clean campground with only a little traffic noise. 

Spent a night mid October on way back east. Water was off at sites but on at dump station. Will stay again!

Not for big rigs . Park was full of permanent construction workers.  Would not even consider again. 

Worked perfect for us. It is unfortunate they will not take reservations so I will avoid during busier times

Wanted to stay hooked up. And even if we did unhook, not made for 42ft fifth wheels with back electric hookup. Have to face east. Electric boxes in front of site. 

You can't beat 27 bucks full hookup. Right off the expressway.  we paid inside and spend some money.  sites are pretty big and first come first serve fills up for sure by dinner.  will stay here anytime I'm in the area.  We camped here in a 27 ft trailer.

This park at Cabela's HQ would get a 5 star rating from me if the WiFi was better.  We could not get connected with any of our devices except my cell phone and that dropped out repeatedly.
On the good side however, this is a pretty park with easy on/off the interstate and there are no hosts that hover over you like some parks.  There is an outstanding paved walking path around the property and we were able to walk our dog 2.5 miles to give you an idea just how long it is.  This is one of the best parks we've seen and if the wifi ever gets improved, it will be nearly perfect.

We found this to be perfect for our overnight stop.  Drive in, pick a spot, pay the fee, use the facilities they have to offer, walk to a good Mexican restaurant, sleep, get up and get back on the road.  Perfect!
 

Very nice first come first serve park.  Pay cash by self registering or pay at the Cabelas store across the parking lot and get your GSC discount (only $27 per night).   Most sites are pull through with full hookup and cable.  WiFi worked good, great Verizon signal.  Restrooms and showers were clean and nice.  Get here by 4 pm and should have no problem finding a spot, after 7 pm it fills up fast but there are electric only and dry camping available most always.  We would definitely stay here again if we ever come through Nebraska again.  

The campground is only $26 for the night with full hookups, however when you factor in shopping at Cabela's it became one of the most expensive places we have stayed.  That said it was clean with decent spacing, some shade and handy for an overnight.  We arrived about 2 pm, about 1/3 the sites were filled, by 7 pm it was 90%.  Since its first come first serve I would recommend to arrive by 5 or 6 pm.  You can also park for free in designated areas of their parking lot, however most of these were used by trucks.  The nearby Walmart also allows overnight, however it was nearly filled by trucks.  

No staff, pick a site and fill out form and drop envelope with money in box. If no forms have to walk over to store to pay. Got there early and only about six sites occupied. By dark the park was about full. FHU sites level side to side but with a slight uphill toward the front of site. Nice walking area to walk dog.   

Clean sites very close to Cabela's store. Can walk to Cabela's as well as other stores and fast food places. Clean facilities. No interstate noise. Great place to walk and get exercise. Would recommend to fellow travelers. 

Called 60 miles out and was told first come bases, no office staff, self check-in. Drop box, $32 with GS.
A little tight, but very do-able. Stayed in a 38ft motor home, towing..did not unhook to park. Oh ya, high water presure ??

We didn't make reservations. The office was closed when we arrived. Sign had info and it was first come first serve. We found nice pull thru spot with 50 amp. Walked over to Cabelas store and paid. Very easy. Sites are level with gravel. Plenty of space and I thought there was more than enough room driving around in the park with 38 foot fifth wheel. I'd stay here again in a heart beat 

Stayed here in a 43ft  towing, plenty of room.   RV wash right across the street along with a couple of restaurants 

Fun store as well.

Called the store to reserve but our name wasn't on list.  Fortunately there were open spaces.  Nice park and within easy waking distance to store.  Good spot for overnight stay. 

Was given reservations for 2 sites for Sept 8th, sites 19 & 20. On arrival, the sites were occupied and 
People refused to move, even for park manager.  There were several folks with the same problem. The
Park managers were not on duty, even tho it was early afternoon and supposed to be open to 8:00pm
Most screwed up operation. I ever seen. 

Be careful in a big rig.  The interior of the park can be tight.
