By The Lake RV Park Resort

Looking for a campground that was open in the winter. We stumbled on to this campground. Very nice campground. Concrete pads. Bathrooms were spotless and I do mean spotless!!! The camp host was so accommodating. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in this area again. 

Second time here, did not use bathhouse. Long mostly level p/ t sites, fhu 50amp,  easy in and out, 43 1/2 dp with toad. Try and get a site overlooking  fishing pond.  Sites 81- 90

Excellent place! All paved sites. Right off I-35 and 20 minutes to Windstar Casino. Easy Check-in.

Late November. We arrived after hours (3:15 Sunday). They had assigned us to a site (12) nowhere near the the one we’d reserved and they’d confirmed (86). Called the resort phone number, explained the error. They told us to just go to the site we’d chosen and if it was occupied, just pick a different one since the park isn’t busy. Went to the site we reserved and parked our trailer. The pond across from our site is pretty and a family of geese greeted us when we pulled in. Park bathrooms are huge and clean, and are also storm shelters. The shower stalls are small and dark once you close the interior curtain, and the shower heads all work but some have about the same pressure as standing in a light rain. Guys, if you’re tall, you’ll have to shower hunched over. Mine is 6’4” and had quite a challenging time of it. There are 6 toilet stalls and five sinks, but only ONE hand dryer and no paper towels. The laundry room is clean and all the machines worked ($1.50 each machine), but we found that our towel and socks didn’t get fully dry in a single cycle. Laundry room has a change machine and a coke machine. Codes are required for bathrooms and laundry. The Canada geese visited every day. A snow goose joined them on our 2nd day. They seemed quite accustomed to people. Those with dogs will love how huge the fenced dog park is. It even has two fake fire hydrants for them to, um, use. There are groomed trails to walk, and the area surrounding the park is quite lovely. Raptors riding thermals for hours! The sunsets have been gorgeous! And there really are fish to catch and release in the pond. We saw a lady catch two. One of them put up a good fight and danced on the water. There are also pretty big turtles in the pond. No trash cans at the sites, and the only dumpsters are all by the office. Wi-fi is crap, kept getting dropped, not reliable. Used our phone hotspot when we wanted to do sensitive or important online things. OTA channels are pretty standard: religion and QVC by the bucketful, with some regular networks thrown in for a little balance. Hook-ups work well. Really good water pressure in the trailer. Concrete slab is level, long and wide, but watch out for that curb on the exit side. It’s almost like a stairway step. Go slowly and you’ll be fine. Must mention the train horns. You will hear them. Very close, very loud. Day. Night. Mildly annoying. In town, Catfish Corner had tasty food and the place is loaded with character. The best food we had was at Cafe Alley. Oh my god, it was heavenly! We recommend the smoked trout appetizer, stuffed poblano pepper, blackened chicken Alfredo, corn bread and pickle fries. We also recommend you ask to be seated in Angela’s section. She’s great!! The grocery store we went to is Homeland…nice enough place. They had what we needed. If you like pecans, stop at the Oklahoma Pecan Company on 77 heading into town. Get the honey roasted pecans!!! Avoid Okie’s at the junction of Lodge Rd & 77 for gas…pumps don’t take credit cards and the marquee displayed regular at $2.99/gallon, but the pumps were set at $3.99/gallon. The lady behind the counter is a sweetheart, though. Sunny and cheerful. Back to the RV park…the office staff is friendly, and it’s a really nice place where the daily & weekly travelers stay. Where the long term residents are looks a little less appealing. All of this being said, we absolutely would stay here again, even with the disappointments.

We only stayed one night, but very impressed with park. Well maintained and very spacious, level sites. Amenities worked as promise. Pool was still closed for season, but looked great. Would stay here again!  

All the sites are level concrete sites. There is a huge dog park with a bench but could use some shade. Pond is amazing. It also has a nice lodge with foosball and video games. Pool area looked nice also. On-site laundry which doubles as a tornado shelter. Although we didn’t use them there are also restrooms and showers.

Easy in and out, nice concrete sites. Did not use or check out the bathrooms, but the park is very clean. Close to State Park. 
Right off I 35. Trains nearby, sewer connections a little tricky. Would stay again. Wife enjoyed walking around the park.

This was a GREAT park. The owners did a great job designing this place. It was clean & level and plenty of space in between sites. The off leash enclosed dog park was the biggest and best we’ve seen yet (probably about 1/3 acre!) The pool is awesome and the game room is great too. Probably one of the nicest employees I’ve ever met too. (And we’ve been all over this country of the past few months!) the ONLY complaint is the mosquitos were terrible and it could stand to be sprayed regularly out there because we got eaten alive outside just walking to the dog park. 

Beautiful park, clean and well maintained. Used laundry and shower facilities. Nice dog park an added bonus for our two dogs. Highly recommended! 

This is a nice resort. Spots are all concrete and level. Each site has a patio area and plenty of green space next to it. Great WiFi and cable.  Bathrooms and laundry area are great.  Fishing pond was a hit with the kids. Great location near Lake Murray State Park. Pool wasn’t open yet but looks inviting. You can definitely tell that the owners care about the quality of their park.

Two negatives that kept it from being rated higher:
1) The water pressure was very poor. They make you use their regulators and I couldn’t adjust it enough to get the pressure any higher. Barely enough to rinse dishes.
2) Park location is near a railroad main track that runs all night long with horns blaring constantly.

We stayed overnight, nice management team. Very sharp looking park.  Nice park like setting, we overlooked the fishing pond. We stayed in our A-class motor home. One concern is people driving to fast, but that is in most parks.

Very clean and well maintained. Staff is super friendly. All utilities worked great. Sites are quite close together and there is zero shade. Easily accessible and reasonably priced. 

Great place. Only 3 years old. All pads concrete. Easy pull through. Bathrooms and showers clean. Not many here when we came through. Was going to stay one night but due to rainy weather we stayed an extra night. Staff helpful to give us places to eat. Weather rainy. If it were nice, Lake Murray State Park is only a mile away with many hiking trails and a nice restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice park with level, concrete, long, pull-thru pads. No shade, nice pool, fishing pond is fish from the bank only from what I could tell. I didn't use the restrooms or pool area, but everything is new and seems clean. Only down is that there are train tracks about a quarter mile away, and the trains blow their horns when they come thru. We didn't hear them over our air conditioner though, so we slept fine.

Very friendly welcoming staff. Site a nice and facility is well maintained. It’s location is convenient to the state park and Ardmore and other attractions.
On site lake for fishing and since it’s private I didn’t have to buy licenses for grandkids. 
Would definitely stay again. 

Wow.. what a beautiful park, whoever built this three years ago did an amazing job.  Spacious sites, beautiful views, well maintained, super dog park, facilities new and modern... Not one thing wrong other than we couldn't stay longer.  We will be back.

1st time here but will make it again, anytime we can. Quite, clean and spacious. 

Great place!  Wonderful people!  Just passing through with a 65 ft big rig and 5 wheel.  70 cement patio lots.  We will be back!

Hard to imagine a nicer RV park.  It's big though!  Level concrete pad, large well arranged bathrooms, nice laundry. Pool, too!

Easy to get too and great for big rigs. Long, wide, paved pull throughs. Beautiful grass, great cable, great wifi. Also best dog park we've seen at an rv park. Office staff was great especially Meredith. No shade but we would definitely return. 

Called ahead and booked for a 2 night stay. This place is near I-35 for easy off and on but far enough that we weren’t disturbed by highway noise.  Very professional staff helped us pick a site most convenient for our stay. Lots of pull-through spots were available. We asked to be near the laundry so that put us in a premium site at $38 per night with our Good Sam’s discount. The spots are level concrete pads with picnic tables. The laundry and bath/showers were the cleanest I’ve seen in an RV park in a while. We needed our rig washed and they have a local guy that provides this service at reasonable prices. There are back-in sites too but we opted for a pull-through spot. The pool is closed but it looks like it would be refreshing in the summer.  It’s a new park so the trees have a few years to grow before providing shade but Lake Murray is close by and you can always cool off in the pool. Another big plus is it’s less than 8 miles to the town of Ardmore where you can stock up on groceries and supplies. We will be back!  

This is a very nice park. Level concrete sites, clean spacious bathroom and shower facilities, and a huge fenced dog run. The price is very reasonable, we paid only $34.20 with a Good Sam discount. Easy access to I35 too. The only thing I could possibly criticize them on is lack of shade, but there are trees planted on each site and in a few years they will have nice shade too. Would definitely stay here again if passing through.

Paved level lots. Hugh fenced dog park. Pool, laundry, large clean bathrooms, fishing pond, game room and the list go on and on. RV park built by RV's!!!!!!!!!👍🎉👍 about 1 mile off I-35
